So John McCain has finally sent John Hagee and Rod Parsley the way of Jeremiah Wright. But you can be sure this isn't the last we'll hear of any of these names.
The following argument figures to play out numerous times into November:
McCainiac: Look, at least John McCain never went to church nor was guided by Hagee or Parsley. His hanging out with them is not nearly as bad as Obama's spending 20 years buddying up to Wright the America-hater.
Obamafile: Hardly! McCain sought out a Hitler-lover and nutty Islamo-phobe and asked for their very public political support -- that's much worse!
Rinse and repeat.

I still can't see the problem with what Rev. Wright said beyond the fact that it was a black man saying it in a colorful fashion.
While I disagree with his religiosity, everything Rev Wright said was fact, with the exception of the government spreading AIDS. Parsley, Hagee, and their ilk are making up fantasies based on their corrupted versions of Christian eschatology, and saying things far more horrible and reprehensible than anything Wright had to say in the process. They've been pushing this malarkey for years, yet no one is playing their greatest hits 24/7 on cable news. Why is that?
Falwell and Robertson have, or had in Falwell's case, actionable political influence. Falwell got his start as an actual segregationist. Robertson called for Chavez' assassination. Here you have a whole group of guys advocating for Jews to go to Israel, solely for the purpose of their extermination or conversion, for Armageddon's kick-off ceremony. To paraphrase Wright, "...and no one bats an eye."
Hagee is a "Hitler-lover" now?
I don't know if he loved Hitler, but said God sent him to send the Jews back to Israel so the rapture could take place. These end-timers are as kooky as scientologists.
From CBS:
***
"Theodore Hertzel is the father of Zionism. He was a Jew who at the turn of the 19th century said, this land is our land, God wants us to live there. So he went to the Jews of Europe and said 'I want you to come and join me in the land of Israel.' So few went that Hertzel went into depression. Those who came founded Israel; those who did not went through the hell of the Holocaust.”
"Then God sent a hunter. A hunter is someone with a gun and he forces you. Hitler was a hunter. And the Bible says -- Jeremiah writing -- 'They shall hunt them from every mountain and from every hill and from the holes of the rocks,' meaning there's no place to hide. And that might be offensive to some people but don't let your heart be offended. I didn't write it, Jeremiah wrote it. It was the truth and it is the truth. How did it happen? Because God allowed it to happen. Why did it happen? Because God said my top priority for the Jewish people is to get them to come back to the land of Israel."
