The nation's great policy crisis, and the Obama administration's political crisis, is the Great Recession and the fact that one in six Americans who would like a full-time job cannot get one.

Why in the world is President Barack Obama selecting as his chief of staff a person who comes from the very Wall Street that wrecked the economy and who is an ardent supporter of the job-offshoring, NAFTA-style trade agreements that have hollowed out the industrial heartland?

This is exactly the wrong direction for the administration, which seems intent on drawing exactly the wrong lessons from the 2010 elections. What the public wants is meaningful action on jobs and an end to the insider, corporate deal-making arrangements that William Daley represents.

Obama has bought the false Republican and media narrative that his administration has been unfair to Wall St. What a bad joke! His response to the midterm election is to act like a Republican while still calling himself a Democrat. He is nothing more than a political opportunist who is more concerned with getting re-elected than addressing real problems such as unemployment.

Because Obama belongs heart and soul to Wall Street although he berates the fat cats now and again to help keep up the charade---and in the more-is-never-enough world of the robber barons, this just isn't good enough.

The base is going to sit out 2012 if he continues on this path

The base will not abandon Obama...liberals will. But it's not Obama's popularity with liberals that ever got him elected to anything in the first place.

And the Liberals went overwhelmingly for Hillary, then when he lost they switch to Palin McCain, those liberals are called BLUE DOGS code for the same type who are GOP TEA PARTIERS. Yew, OBAMA never won because of the Liberals, the Liberals are just as bad or worst than the GOP!
