A Few Wrong Things That Somehow Became Norm

Here are a few wrong things that somehow became norm:

1. The Lilliputian bathrooms on airplanes. Whose cruel joke was it to recreate Disney's "It's a Small World" on a plane?

2. The daily news -- a minute of newsflash followed by a minute and a half of ads. When did commercials become more important than current events?

3. Application forms -- how did they get so complicated suddenly? How does a mere piece of paper mess with my head and make me write my town where my birthdate should be? Is this information gathering or a test of my visual/perceptual skills?

4. Toilet mats and lid covers. Seriously -- how did these shaggy, pastel germ-catchers ever pass product approval? Only one word comes to mind: Ewww!

5. Auctioneers talking at the speed of light. A few questions pop up: "What?" and "why?" being two.

6. Music laced with profanity, being carelessly played on the radio and our children allowed to sing along to it.

7. Drinking spinach, kale and collard greens. I wholeheartedly agree that a green smoothie is not so bad -- it is absolutely repulsive!

8. Seedless watermelons and grapes -- wicked awesome but wicked wrong. These are fruits for crying out loud!

9. Political correctness gone awry where "fat" has become an f word yet "corpulent" is acceptable. (To be honest, I'd rather be fat than corpulent; at least fat makes me feel alive!)

10. People who take life so seriously that they forget how to laugh.
