When it comes to winning, does ethics go out the window for Barack Obama? And does he win or does he hurt himself by becoming the politician par excellence? Its beginning to look like he may bring to pass that old saying that nobody is better at defeating the democrats than the democrats. The party is not united. Those on the left see all his waffling as a repudiation of his own original views; the Reagan Democrats are centrists who can just as easily go Republican as not; the Clinton women remain aggrieved notwithstanding all the "concessions" the Obama campaign has given them at the Denver convention. Has he even become a war monger by wanting to move the troops from Iraq to Afghanistan?

All these lapses from his original oratorical presentations which did bespeak a commitment to fundamental democratic values have even shaken some of his most ardent supporters. He still has them -- ready as they are to forgive and to wait and see if he goes back to his original way of thinking once he becomes President of the United States of America as he so loves to designate himself. But there remains a vast uncertainty emanating from powerful forces ranged against him. He may not become President of the United States of America! And even if he does, along with some hapless non-starter as his running made, he will not be able to effect the changes he promised.

It can be safely said that if Barack Obama does not become president, or to put it another way, if McCain does, it will be the end of Western Civilization as we know it, often said in jest, but unfortunately a distinct possibility which will make all of existence on this planet unlivable. In fact the entire world is at a breaking point right now, when concessionary speeches are being made by the main dramatis personae in Denver. Will the Hillary for President women be crying, screaming, shouting, as they were told to do, to experience at least some sort of catharsis. or will they stand silent glowering at the latest wrinkle -- names placed in nomination and maybe elected by roll call. Can the Hillary women be fooled by a symbolic gesture? Not likely. They will remain aggrieved until the end of time because they firmly believe, and feel in their bones that the election was stolen. Can you see that this situation is becoming something of a powder keg?

Yet only Obama can save the day... . Yes, Obama and only Obama. He does have most of the anwers. And even if he does, make it through along with some hapless non-starter as his running mate, will he be able without the only one who thinks as he does and then some, to bring about the changes which are necessary for survival? Can he unify the democratic party?. How can he ensure that the first step to unity and recovery will be taken, namely winning the Presidency? To do this he must take Hillary Clinton as his running mate. Hillary as V.P. can calm all the troubled waters.and bring him all the votes he needs. Then and only then can we all begin the difficult process of evolving into the ethical beings we are supposed to be. That means first dismantling the idiotic ideology that makes "the free market" supreme and revealing how global corporations have been promoting a pack of lies to make us complicit in their schemes to take over the world.
