The Denver Film Society kicked off its 33rd festival with the Red Carpet screening of Rabbit Hole at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House; on hand for the festivities were director John Cameron Mitchell and costar (with Nicole Kidman) Aaron Eckhart, this year's recipient of the Excellence in Acting Award. The party's just beginning, folks; come get caught up in the 11-day whirlwind of hot up-and-comers (don't miss Jeff Malmberg's Marwencol), indie-meets-Hollywood darlings (including director Danny Boyle of Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting and 127 Hours) and silver-screen legends (such as Elliott Gould) alike.
