When I was in the infantry in Vietnam, I didn't know what the idea of unit cohesion was about until we were on an operation that required us to stay awake literally for days on end, with heavy rains preventing any real sleep during the few hours available for that, and I remember asking myself "How can I still be standing up after this?" And the answer was the psychological power of the unit was keep me and the others standing and moving forward. I'm convinced that if we had women out there with us there would have been the attraction distraction, so to speak, if not actual sex going on, and this would have weakened our cohesion with rivalries.

"Any type of sexual activity has no place in the military?" What about all the married soldiers who serve? Surely we don't require a vow of chastity from our servicepeople, do we?

News flash! The military has been a tool for social engineering in America since 1775. And if there's no place for sex in the military, why are they allowed to marry regardless of sexual orientation?
