Apparatchiks in the Right Wing Misinformation Machine

What do Amity Shales, George F. Will, Mark Levey, Harold L. Cole, Lee E. Ohanian, Tyler Cowen, Andrew B. Wilson, Greg Gutfeld, and Jeff Jacoby all have in common? They have all published articles in recent months opposing the President's economic stimulus package and all for exactly the same reason: the New Deal proved that economic stimulus does not work.

Aside from the remarkable syncopation of their discovery and exposition of this important information, there is one other important aspect to their journalistic endeavors. The argument they each make is completely false. The New Deal contained virtually no stimulus and clearly would have been far more effective if it had.

You sit there in your chair complaining about the Republicans yet there is no disdain at all for the Democrats who voted against this exact same bill and the Democrats in the Senate who feel the same way about this bill as the Republicans.
Unfortunately for you and all of the other Democrats who share your view, your zeal to blame the Republicans at all cost has finally caught up, remember the words of Obama, "I won, your guy lost" things will be done the way the Democrats want it. The Democrats are scared to death that the Republicans in the Senate will follow the lead of the House Republicans and vote no, but don't you remember, THE DEMOCRATS HAVE CONTROL OF CONGRESS! The Democrats do not need the Republicans to pass this bill they can pass this bill if they want but they are scared because they want to be able to blame the Republicans when it fails.
Stop crying about the Republicans and contact your Democrat Senators and tell them that YOU want this bill and that YOU want them to vote FOR this bill, the Democrats want it, the Democrats wrote it, the Democrats voted for it and the Democrats OWN IT!
