As Chairman of the U.S. Senate Democratic Policy Committee (DPC), I've chaired 17 hearings on waste, fraud and corruption in Iraq. On Monday, September 22, I'll chair the 18th hearing on that subject. I think it could be the most important hearing we've held so far.

We will hear direct testimony from former top level Iraqi government officials about corruption's reach to the highest levels of the Iraqi government. But this hearing is about much more than wasted tax dollars, as important as finding and stopping that waste is. It is also about American tax dollars, stolen by corrupt members of the Iraqi government, going to insurgents -- including al-Qaeda -- who are killing American soldiers.

Think about that again: your tax dollars being funneled to al-Qaeda.

The hearing will be streamed LIVE beginning at 1:30 PM, on Monday, September 22 at the DPC's website: dpc.senate.gov.

There will be important information at this hearing every American needs to know. Please view the hearing and alert your friends to view it, too. I just recorded a video to preview the hearing, you can watch it below:
