Two Strong Anti-Saxby Chambliss Ads that Should See Georgia Senate Run-Off Airtime

"Cha-Ching" hits at the heart of why Chambliss' economic policies are absolutely destructive for working class Georgians.

"Golf" illustrates Chambliss' loyalty to special interests, enjoying their luxury vacations while supporting legislation that hurts Georgian families.

The two ads together paint a clear picture that, not only is Republican Saxby Chambliss out of touch with Georgia's working class families, but that the policies Chambliss promotes (due in no small part to his bought-and-paid-for loyalty to the special interests) actively hurt Georgian families' ability to make ends meet.

Meanwhile, you can help Democrat and true-friend-of-working-families Jim Martin with a contribution to him today via the Expand the Map! ActBlue page.

Georgia voters have a second chance to change their vote. Alaska and Minnesota have to just sit and wait for final results of the Nov. 4th election.

Now that Senate races in 47 states are final with an obvious Democrat majority, regardless of what happens in Alaska and Minnesota, Georgians might want to weigh the benefit of sending a new Senator to join the majority or stay with what they have only to have minor representation in DC.

That is a tough decision. Wish I could change my vote on Nov. 4th. Sometimes seniority don't mean much to that 'Old' Senator if he is all alone.

Unfortunately there are certain voters who do not base their votes on logic, facts or even their best interests. Chambliss has been playing on people's fear because that has woked in the past and because he is basically a racist. This run off election will give the rest of the country a chance to see how far the people of Georgia have come since Chambliss sleasy election in 2002. It will be interesting to see if they choose progress and change or the same old divisive politics. My bet is that there are enough fearful white people that Chambilss will win.

I am actually hopeful that Chambliss will lose this time. I was just as pessimistic about Obama's chances and look what happened.... I think this is a special year indeed.

The Republican smear tactics that Rove has used over the years looks like it's coming back to haunt the party. Too bad, eh?

I can't believe, either, that after McCain harsh words about Chambliss' ad 6 years ago concerning Max Cleland's patriotism, is going to be in GA today to campaign for Chambliss. Either they don't remember the tactics used against them or they now think it's ok to use them.

The Republicans have disassembled themselves in trying to cow-tow to the extreme right wingers. It'll be years before they get back to the center of politics and can win anything other than the Evangelicals.
