BitTorrent giant Mininova has been forced to go legal. In doing so, the bit torrent tracker has removed all links to copyrighted material. Despite claiming to be "the Ultimate BitTorrent source," on Friday, when it went legal, zero torrents were added to the Mininova network. With more legislation hurting Mininova competitors like Pirate Bay, torrents may be standing on their last leg.

While Barnes and Noble will begin shipping its new Nook eReader this week, the company is so back logged with orders that it will not have the device in physical retailers until December 7th. The notice is the most recent in a string of setbacks for Barnes & Noble, who sold out the Nook for Holiday season and won't be shipping recent orders until the new year.

According to comScore, customers spent approximately $913 million shopping online on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. Consumers looking for excellent deals flocked online, bringing online sales up 10% year over year. This Holiday season especially, online retailers have used special sales, free shipping and a host of other deals to make it more beneficial than ever for consumers to shop online.

Microsoft has now made its Silverlight video software available on the iPhone. The new capabilities find Silverlight delivering QuickTime streaming files to the iPhone so users can enjoy high quality streaming video content. Silverlight representative Brian Goldfarb said "the promise of Silverlight is that it's a cross-device, cross-browser, cross-platform solution, and it works the same on Macs as it does on Windows."
