July 12, 2010 - Today's most interesting stories in technology, media and entertainment:

Fring 3G iPhone Video Chat: A recent update to the Fring app is letting iPhone users make video calls over the 3G network. While Apple's FaceTime app lets users video chat over Wi-Fi, Fring's update is the first to allow video chatting over the 3g network. Will it clog AT&T's already crowded network? Thre guesses and the first two don't count.

Chatroulette is hitting the iPhone: Sort of. A new app iChatr essentially lets users play Chatroulette with others. Like who you see? Commence video chatting. Don't like? A simple swipe will bring you a new chat buddy. If you're wondering what Chatroulette is, check it out at Chatroulette.com but be forewarned, it's not for kids.
