Playboy App Hits iPhone, Sans Nudity : MediaBytes with Shelly Palmer December 11, 2009

Playboy now has an iPhone application available in the iTunes App store. While the magazine is known for its nude pictorials, the app eschews naked photos for Playboys articles. Why? Because Apple still won't allow apps with nudity to be available on the iPhone.

Apple's purchase of LaLa finds the company turning its iTunes business toward the streaming web. Analysts believe that Apple could restructure iTunes so that users are able to purchase songs and manage there account from anywhere on the web, without having to be logged into their iTunes library. Combining LaLa's streaming and payment system with iTunes could be a major benefit to both Apple and customers, who would be able to listen to their purchased songs without having to download and load them to a computer or device.

Fitbit, the popular exercise tracking sensor, is sold out for the Holiday season. However, this hasn't stopped consumers from purchasing the device, which tracks a users every physical movement and calculates how many calories were burned during a workout. The $99 device, which is fetching up to $350 on eBay, is this year's Holiday go-to gift for adults looking to lose weight, even though Fitbit won't be back in supply for another month or so.
