Steal the Go-Getter Girl's 3 Tricks for Killer Self-Confidence

Confidence. On one hand, a part of us believes that authentic confidence is inbred, and in fact, requires no additional investment. On the other hand, another part of us is convinced that true confidence is acquired via hours of practice. The truth is that we all come into this world in pretty much the same way, so I can guarantee you that no one is actually born with confidence, and that it is in fact very much an acquired trait.

Confidence. On one hand, a part of us believes that authentic confidence is inbred, and in fact, requires no additional investment. What distinguishes the incredible, empowered, and confident women who own the reins to their personal and professional lives? In short and simple terms, the X factor is confidence. We have to make a conscious effort to assert ourselves every day, and only then, will confidence become a truly immersed trait in our mindset. Let us explore and discover the top 3 tricks for every world changing go-getter girl to own her killer confidence!

She believes that her core power, bright light, happiness, and self-worth come from within herself

The most criminal mistake on the path to achieving self-confidence is to seek validation from external sources as opposed to from within, because the reality is that authentic self-confidence is derived from.. wait for it, YES, ourselves. I have noticed this time again, that young women, especially, seek to validate themselves via external sources, whether it is from their mother, boyfriend, or anyone else in between. The truth is our self-worth, happiness, fulfillment, and intrinsic power come from within us, and we should so own this!

She practices self-love each day because she is proud of herself and the woman she is becoming

This is a big one. Self-love and self-care are often underemphasized and somewhere, underappreciated on the path to becoming confident women. A go-getter girl makes sure she lets herself know that she is proud of who she is and the woman she is becoming. My favorite way to empower myself after an especially rough day is to focus on having internally empowering conversations with myself, along the lines of "I am SO proud of you BABYY! You are rocking it!" or "I know you are not living up to your full potential, but guess what? Tomorrow is a new day and you will make it happen. I know this because I love you." Let us not underestimate the importance of self-love! This is a very powerful attribute of forever owning our power.

She owns her scars, successes, failures, and vulnerabilities like any original GIRL BOSS would

My favorite! A go-getter girl is proud of her scars because she recognizes that her scars play as integral a role in shaping her story as do her successes. She embraces her vulnerabilities because they convey to the world that all said and done, she is equally as human as anyone else, and deserves to treat herself with respect and the understanding that not everything she does or says will be perfect, but that she is making swift progress, which in and of itself is perfection. Let us vow to continue owning our scars and vulnerabilities forever!

Killer self-confidence is not elusive, ladies! We can each achieve this level of heightened confidence, which makes us feel more powerful in our personal and professional lives. Ultimately, killer self-confidence enables us to be in control as strong women who love ourselves and are incredibly grateful for the world around us!
