“Thanks for your kind words. Can't imagine having another kitty right now, but with time that may change.”

“Oh it took amost 1 year before I got her and she just happened to come my way. I had a friend going through a divorce and he couldn't keep the cat, his wife didn't want the cat and it was staying in the sunroom at his mothers. Her other cats were beating her up. I'm so glad now although I was a little reluctant at first. ”
“My kitty is almost 19. I got her at 7 weeks. Her kidneys are failing. I have a vet appt tomorrow, and if he says it's time, I am ready to let her go. I don't want her to suffer anymore. My dog has been a great comfort during this time, and I know he will miss her too. Sorry Sarah...sorry for all of us.”

“"rehashing things that happened 160 years ago"
Well, my father is 70 years old, and grew up in a small town in Alabama (about 60 miles from Mobile). Every day he & his siblings had a long walk to school. And every day they passed what was called the 'hangin tree' a tree that was used for lynching black people, mostly men. Don't tell me that it was 160 years ago, because the effects live on today.”

“What's introspective about ignoring the truth? And what, pray tell, are we on the verge of? And you're worried about black people growing more hatred toward you. Have you listened to right wing talk radio lately? Who's hatred, indeed!!
And btw, Brad Pitt spent years raising money and building homes for those affected by Hurricane Katrina-most of them black. He and Jolie have traveled the world helping the poorest of the poor. So, I don't know what 'reality' you speak of.”

“He should pat himself on the back for having the courage to bring this story to the big screen. As stated in the article, it will be difficult to watch, and I am sure there will be protests & discussion, but this is our history, our American history-warts and all. And a grudge? As a black woman, I find that comment incredibly insensitive for it's ignorance.”
“We do, and it was a tragedy. But, we also remember 43 sending our men & women into harms way in Iraq on a false claim of WMD, after lying to the UN & the American people. Last time I checked, more than 4 of them died there. Let's keep things in perspective, shall we?”
