“Do you think this person is going to be sentenced? Probably not since he is incredibly rich. Just as the Frenchman Strauss Kahn accused of raping a NY maid. You see he paid her off or I mean a "settlement"”

“that he is, but he's not from our usual "above the law" nations. and the kids age... wonder if his lawyer"s number is listed.”

“'cause anyone that saw Django will no there is no way most of those characters would have existed in slavery times. Period. Django character dressed in fancy velveteen riding a horse? Get out of here And no way would a character like Sam Jackson ever exist Some folks are going to look at this and swear this is historically accurate just like The Help”
“Do you thiink everyone in prison/jail is a lowlife? Really? Some people are very young mentally ill war veterans and innocents.”

“Well, the people I have known or know in prison were pretty sad stories. One 70 year old former commander in the Nat'l Guard in CA is going to Fed prison for running a ponzi scheme. It wasn't his first brush with fraud either but this time the Feds got involved. College educated, lives in a great house (from his successful life), used up his wife's money, her inheritance, etc. He is not young, mentally ill (except for whatever has been going on the last 10 years) and definitely NOT innocent. Others are in jail for stealing, murder, drug dealing, etc”

“If they are in prison I will go with the odds that they are a "lowlife".”
“I work in legal med-insurance industry. If people only knew. If they only knew. Some people are sooooo naive, they think these ic's want to pay their claim. I talk to people everyday who say" yeeah the adjuster/nurse case manager/atty is very friendly ...they said they will pay my bills". Hahhaa! Dont be naive the insurance companies are not on your side.
They do not.
The goverment needs to be involved to some extent, b/c we would have serious problems.”
“So b/c one suffers from co-morbitiy issues and is knowingly placed in an enviroment that aggravate and exagerate those conditions, the person/entities that did this should suffer no repercussions.
Suppose your skull is as fragile as an egg, and I hit you on the head causing your death...should I not be held accountable for the harm caused?”
Jack Straw on Jan 15, 2013 at 09:33:33
“Well, aside from the fact that your example tries to equate you physically assaulting someone as an equal example to someone being overweight and neglecting their own health, yeah you should be held accountable. ”
