“For cripe's sake, the jig is as up now as it was 30 years ago when they restarted this war economy to nowhere good. It's full of exploitable loopholes and they aren't even slick about it.
They were wrong raiding survival benefits to get us in the military for cheap labor.
It's wrong to use the opm.gov system to troll for low wages, sliding in friends and relatives to GS position, shred claims and medical paperwork and play numbers games and suck the world into a sharecropper's economy.
And, oh, the misogyny.
It's wrong to ignore the causes of diseases to sell prescriptions,
and use US as guinea pigs with suicidal pharmaceuticals.
It's wrong to double dip by charging veterans for outsourced procedures.
They've waged war after war, cut jobs, manipulated the numbers,
and here we are again with the numbers game they won't admit.
What's wrong, wingnuts, can't kill us off fast enough?
Too freakin' bad!
This is disgusting, blood-thirsty
and ever so weak.
Don't call us "heroes" and kick us to the curb while turning our families against us, selling our careers and homes.
So, psychology is just between the ears?
How about some active brain cells?
They squeezed the nation far too much and as history repeats itself for those who won't see it.
All the amps are on one side volts on the other=no power.
They're far too proud of this demoralization of the nation with it's sharecropper's economy.
The republican party is in DEFAULT.”
“Why doesn't Sean Hannity get help with that unhealthy fixation of his.
His ego is embarrassing, sad, pathetic...
Jon simply isn't into him.
Maybe Bachmann's "Pray the gay away" program ...
“They make a federal case out of immigration while exploiting it at EVERY opportunity they decide to run out of money. It's load and dump education with a tax and spend economy. It's pathetic, played out and counter-everything this country is supposed to be, when the place has so much potential and talent. The Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, for instance. We need a new "New World Orchestra" in so many ways.”
“My uncle loved it there, but passed shortly after I finally got a chance to know him. They work people like dogs for the lowest compensation according to some jacked up scale no one can live and grow on. Wage gap castration is definitely an issue. That state destroyed the income potential of hard-working people, and Scott has no idea what he's doing! Clearly the WRONG people are running things down there! I don't care what they do with him, just get him out of the way!
Feel free to fear my indifference, but I don't recommend it.
“Buddha's answer would be... "Keep shoveling, kid....you'll warm up soon enuf".
I was taught better than to treat Jesus as a conduit to some $anta-g0d.
I learned, "Pray for an answer, but sometimes the answer is 'NO', and one deals"
A kid could be taught instead to yell,
"Jesus, thank God for the pretty snow, but please help me figure out a way to finish my chores without freezing my tuchos off!"
The higher mind kicks in and says... "Get back to work" or "Go back inside, and grow in to the job if it's too big for you."
Dad and the boomers were shoveling together, when I was 4, but when they were gone, I was a solo act.
Go figure a career that dumps you after doing the job of three.
Chillax, kid. Go inside and play,
"Pick up my toys before somebody puts their eye out after tripping over them."
or whatever Mary Poppins called it. "Once begun is job half done"?
(Oops, gotta dash for 3D community meeting, can't edit)”
“It's nothing new.
Learn to dance....for world peace.
(Wartime trends show that when a certain percentage of single men rises, war increases. Bones reminded me of that actual statistical study that came up in a class I aced long long ago.)
So, be sexier
And save a life”
“We call that "crabs in a barrel"
People with no talent whatsoever, just LOVE dictating what others should do with it.
Or downplay it for nothing of import to the person ultimately responsible for command over it, or another gift they like better.
What I saw:
A woman having a fun time with her son at a wedding.
It appeared to me that the bride and the guests had a heck of a time,
A moment to immortalize.
In Africa and the men dance and smile as long as it takes for the women to pick one she likes best. Chances are, she'd known him before or whatever, but the idea is... he's working to impress her.
Kiowa Gourd women always dance behind the men, who dance behind the women singing behind the men at the drum.
Someone got the men drunk and taught them that they were in charge.
We think that's adorable.
Meanwhile, it's her gift and for all I know, she prefers knitting anyway.”
“Or they think they have all the answers, with a very limited view of the situation at hand.
And completely blew off the NDN wisdom of, "If Grandma had one, she'd have used it"...like a computer for instance.”
“I grew up outside DC.
It's a TRAP!
Our old apartment goes for 1300/mo and it wasn't big enough for a family of 5 when we had it.”
salesdude on Feb 8, 2014 at 12:09:15
“My question is why would you try to put a family of 5 in such a small space? $1300 a month is the price for a one bedroom in a questionable DC neighborhood, but then again if you want to live here then you've got to "pony up" the money as they say. Living here just isn't for everyone. I'm glad you've found a place that better suits you.”

“I do understand believe me.... my 3/2/2 condo was $1600 and I could sit it inside my home here.... My sister home built from the ground and for the $$$ she would be living in a mansion if she moved here....I sent her a link to homes in Houston and she almost had a stroke at the price of her home vs one here... OMG not to mention that one power company you have to get in the area there was a killer... We are not regulated here and you can choose any company and they compete for your business and you can drop them at your discretion and choose another with a lower rate... it has been really cold and I love my $56.00 electricity bill at 10 cent a kilowatt...No sales tax on grocery.... Low gas prices... and my 2800 sq feet for less than a $1000....I will take my oil slicked roads... hot as all get out of Texas summers... oh yeah and lets not forget my pay over moving back.... sorry but as they say... #DontMessWithTexas.... lol”
“Business Law 101 Chapter 1
When they personed corporations.
Google Ross Perot
Keynsian doesn't work any more than any other rote ism.
Prosperity, Corruption, Revolution....
Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
and there are plenty of Obamacrats on this thread making sense. I liked them. if I saw them.”
“IDK, I think he's reading him wrong.
The James Dean thing doesn't click with many, but when I was a kid,
it was called "The Levittown Blues".
A bunch of drunk/stoned yippies, howling Levittown's "The Pitt".
Think "Blaire Witch".
The social experiment I grew up in was in Bowie,MD
and called Levittown@Belair.
The 4th district was an extension ..a cheaper Xerox copy intended to fall apart.
It was probably a pun on how we mumbled "Belair", unimpressed.
The song had no rythm or recognizable melody, mind you..
And now Bill O'Reilly's crackerbox version, has it's own music genre?
I swear to google, it's true.
MIDI was the difference between a Grammy and obscurity.
The simple math for "Publish or Die"
(shunt to blog... why does this keep saying I've exceeded the word count limit, when I keep editing down with words to spare?)”
“ERA added a fresh new crop of tax payers and lowered the pay when a certain number reach a certain level.
They slam down the lid, making sure a middle class family couldn't possibly cover the mortgage and do that thing they do about "independence" and "equality".
If you can't pay your employee more than minimum wage, you are not doing much for your community. Get a job.
A small business isn't something to be used so one can order their peons around, it's to enhance the community around it.
How is selling the livelihoods 35,000 at a time, to save the company money and roll in their benefits back into the executive pot, (not for the remaining employees),
enhancing the community of mortgage, student loan paying residents?
Oh, it gives them an excuse to roll the used-to-haves, in with the poor and start the whole mess over again for half the pay to an MCSE cert.....for example.”
MaleMatters on Jan 25, 2014 at 11:34:56
“Re: "A small business isn't something to be used so one can order their peons around, it's to enhance the community around it."
What do you think a small business is doing when it opens and hires people and pays them a wage?
How exactly would say a small business owner enhance the community? Be specific.”
“Kids falling between the cracks get along like that more than they have on record. They study with leftover text books and scrounge for what information they can on why they're lives are jacked up and what is to be done about it. OWS didn't reflect their numbers because they work in shifts. So, for every 5 kids, out at one time, figure their house has say.. 20 and a bunch of geeks organizing and getting supplies around.
The charity work they do for each other puts the big money bragging about it in the category of a few minimum wage "toppins", or "ducats", "rubles", or whatever the kewl kids are hording these days....
The ice house looks fun. I'll bet they picked that up from OW-Alaska.
I like what Habitat does, but I watched a friend nearly combust trying to deal with them and her kids and the red tape and starting a business and working at the shelter and and...wow.
The Unitarians are very proud of their work with Habitat, but I don't think they spend a lot of time with the people they're trying to help, other than making sure their compliant.
Meanwhile, perfectly refurbishable homes get snapped up by mortgage vultures who could be restrained to offset the stress to benefit ratio.
The kids in the street don't qualify anyway,
But thanks to Ron Paul.....again..... the movement got jacked up a bit.
People should work to avoid revolutions.
