“Her poor soul. That makes me cry. Ug. Why oh WHY??? Dogs are so in tune with other creatures. They have an incredible sense of being and their emotions seems to match ours. Feeling sad and excited, anxious and calm, and so fourth. I hope her soul get to travle back and be craddled with the most kindest of hands(Other than the lords hands). I pray whom ever did this is brought to account the actions they put forth on this pup.”
“being abused in the past. I know I blank out. I know what theyre doing isnt right. But back then (its like a flash back) you had no say in the activity so you stay silent and gerate feelings as to whats going on and instead of stand up for what you dont want, you blungen the person who perped you.
I dont know, it's like your voice is taken away. So all theres is left is actions. Yes, even if its a one time occurance, like I said its like a flash back and you snap. Like it was said there was no intention, not premeditated thoughts of doing what he did. That was the trigger for his reaction.
But who really knows.”
“Tell my sister that. Our dad molested the both of us. I got 80% she got 20%. But she says I need Professional help because I have made up my mind not to even have anything to do with him. I have children, hes a teir 3!! I dont need the help, she does!!”

“I understand your situation too much. My daughter was sexually assaulted by her grandfather. Most of the family has cut him out of their lives. However, his one daughter is acting like it never happened. Unfortunately, we found out in court, that my daughter was not his first victim, but his 4th. 4 little girls and his daughter still feels the need to associate with him. I guess that's her call. It hasn't always been easy but the rest of us do still associate with her....we just never talk about it.”

“You both need help. You sound like you are angry at your sister - and that is understandable. She makes you feel like you have no right to be angry over your abuse. You do have that right. And you have the right to cut the person who abused you out of your life. You also have a duty to protect your children. What you are doing is the right thing for you. Let her do what is right for her and tell her that you want the same consideration. Don't let her make you feel guilty over protecting yourself and your children.”
“Thats why I said she snapped and why I mentioned being sueicidle. You're not logical then, your thoughts turn into impulsive actions. I've never stabbed anyone, but I know what that brink is. The one between sanity and maddness?”

“You don't just wake up one morning and decide that you feel like killing someone so violently. There had to be signs that she was mentally unstable.”
“Someone said this cant manifest over night. This didnt just come out of no where, and she must have been mental before the incident. Tell ya what. You ever hear that sucidle (sorry for the spelling errors) voice that says do it but you dont. Then it passes, but other things keep nagging and reminding you of that feeling. Being a teenage girl, having your parents nag cause you cant get it right. Ever felt you just werent enough no matter what you do?! Maybe she hit that point and went past it. In that sence all logics are gone. Then she snapped. She looks like it feels like its all a dream to her. She hasnt realized yet to what extent her actions have done. I hope his girl is remorseful and can be helped! Let's Pray.”

“It is interesting that you brought up suicide. It is a big problem among the young, especially girls of her age. Perhaps the same kind of pressures that cause some girls to harm themselves made this girl harm her mother. So often girls of her age choose a means of suicide that is ugly on the body. I knew a very beautiful young girl of 19 who killed herself using a knife, in such a way that it was like she wanted to destroy her own beauty. It sounds very much like what this girl did to her mother.
What a tragic situation for everyone involved. Most likely sometime in the next few years she will grow past her mental illness and be so sad for what has happened. What a terrible thing she will have to live with for the rest of her life.”

“Im printing this artical out for my kids to find later. They are 8,7,4,3. Interesting for sure. They'll read this and not understand what its talking about what so ever. What's a VCR for??? a DVD doesnt fit in that... Maybe its a tablet reader.... (inserts tablet...)”

“In a few years they will not know what a DVD is.”
“OH TAY so the government likes to spend money. Lets start a petition to get the government to pay for voice to text, voice demand, touch sceen computer devices up to hook up to our exsisting radio connections. That way our police folks don't have to waste so much of their time... See thats what all this money should be spent on, things to make life easy. Not mark it up so high, you have to sacrifice your first born son...”

“It happens with many of the "Disney" girls. Britney, Xtina, Lindsay and the list continues.
Some speculate that it's an image thing they are trying to shed.”
“You know what I noticed that gives her a good look over. Is that she is nearly eye level with all the children she is seen greeting in a photo. She comes down to their level making them feel more important. It might be a sign of how well she will do as a parent. ;-)”
“There ya go ;-) I just dont like to blame. I hate the blame game. We all could be to blame here on numberous accounts. Also dont let low income make your first impression. Which you probably dont, you just know that statisics, how things normaly go with low income. Im low income and raise four girls. But Ive done so much for making under 20K a year. I inspire lots of single low income women. It's up to us, those logics we use to teach them to others and keep our fingers crossed. Pray for the best. if we were to do something about these families, wouldn't you agree. Seems Americans are heartless. Dog eat Dog world!”
“"It take a villiage to raise a child..." Not these days. Trust no one. I understand where you are coming from. But it's just not how it is anymore. One man for his own is how it breaks down. As parents we need to do our best. Others just don't care. If government got into our parenting... It'd be a mess! I think it would be a great idea to provide these parents (the ones being observed by CPS) with better resources. Something that doesn't feel like punishments. Something to reinstill motivation and inspire them to raise their kids to be the best they can be. But then again, you can't help someone who isn't willing to help themselves. If more parents provided that much needed parental guidence, the world would be a different place. So what can you do, what can I do? Give these children a voice. Help parents connect with the life of raising and rearing a child. Motivate them. Inspire them. But with what you said in the first place, the mother is not the victim. She had pleanty of resources to say "Hey Im not going to take care of her, instead I'll let her going into diabetic shock!" she Completely Gave UP and clearly did not care!”

“I don't want to beat this article to death but I do have one last card up my sleeve for a response. I still maintain that this woman and her child were both victims of society and here is why;
First society gave up on her. As you said she was not properly monitored by CPS, or they would have discovered that she didn't have the will to properly take care of or care for the welfare of the child. It's a shame that CPS just does it's job according to the book and not get deeply involved on their own initiative, to take heart in these situations.
Her ability to care for children is in suspect here, I don't know the whole story but being involved with low income families as long as I have I'm sure she didn't have the drive or the mental capacity to understand the impact of her and the daughters situation and critical care needed.
Lastly society better step up to the plate and start going back to the old school methods or we will become a society of greedy self-centered egotists with our wealth as are only god. Think about it, our own greed put ahead of the well being of others, a sad situation.”
“I didnt mean to mark that. I wish it was a unlike button. Anyhow. The point is mom did not care for her child!!! That is only to blame the mother for killing her child. I mean, a bag of candy and a cup cake!!! How is the government going to stop that?! I mean do you not get mad when you read this or do you blame all our mistakes on the government. Child protective services were just there, do you think these parents cant lie or something to deceive the government workers. We can't blame the government for lazy parenting. Thats why we have problems in the first place. The mother is NOT a victim!”
“I think theres a different reason for Obama to up the minimum wage. Raise it high enough and no one whoes working would need government assistance. How much would that save? Then midical care should be more affordable if you're making more. That would make sence. Another idea, is a lot of families have two working members, if they total too much for govn. care and assistance then thats another family not on assistance. But does it hurt to put them right above the poverty line? Becasue with bills, and lifes expences its hard to put food on the table and possibably get sick ones to the doctors. Which would mean, they would need the help to make ends meet. If they are working already and helping themselves already, would it be ok to grant government help? These are our own people... have you heard about aliens getting drivers lincens? Government help with no visa or green card... Could someone help explain this?”
OhNoItsDevo on Feb 14, 2013 at 10:18:16
“You think Obama wants to get people off of government assistance?!
The fans of big government certainly don't wnat that to happen.”
“To go along with the recreational sex, Thats why its so important for us parent to direct our children to a sucessful future. Its human nature to get into that kind of stuff as a teenager. We need to bestill in them that you need to create career first, then focus on finding the right one, then making a family. You must work hard and relax later!”

“Good point. But, you know, it's harder than ever to instill that in your kids. I've been pushing that message since mine were little, and they excelled as a result--but, of course, each had the Sophomore Slumps, and it became much harder to convince them of this when all their friends were having a ball, and they were missing out on the fun of living a life with no consequences.
I recently had my oldest daughter graduate from a state university consistently rated in the top three in the country. She earned her way to that Uni, but getting there, discovered everyone else was a super-achiever, as well. After four years of freedom and fun, she graduated with only a 3.2gpa and, despite the prestige of her education, could not get a good job to save her life.
Many college graduates are having the same issue. As parents, we then feel responsibly for misleading them because what worked for us at their age is no longer working. Top-level education is no promise of success anymore. The dynamics have changed drastically.”
“Youre so right, there are so many studies of infants being left alone and how they kinda just die. Parents to a child helps him/her grow and want to live. Leave an infant alone like that, theres no motivation to live...”

“It's so true. But they also end up lacking the basic skill sets to live, which is just unconscionable. The Romanian Orphan Studies were probably the first to highlight the devastating and irreversible impact of neglect on the development of the human brain.
It is a sad reality that, as humans, we are one of the very few animals that require such long periods of parental involvement for proper vitality and development, yet we are also one of a smaller portion of species that is prone to recreational sexual activity, rather than simply as an instinctual manner of procreation. When you combine those things with this profound movement toward personal egocentricity that our culture is experiencing, it's a wonder more cases like this one aren't being reported. Still, always tremendously sad when they are.
The article recently posted about the 17-year old boy who was handcuffed to a pole in his damn, dark basement for months literally made me cry to read it. You want so much more for these children, and it's really sad that as strangers we seem more interested in their well-being than their own parents.”
