“You're a sick individual. Gun ownership is a 2nd Amendment right. But I guess you support someone who pyschopathically killed helpless animals (e.g. strangling them, electrocuing them). Apparently, you think that's more deserving of forgiveness than someone who mistakenly carries a gun. Please spare us the lecture on forgiveness.”

“How do you mistakenly carry a gun? You forgot it was in your pants from the LAST time you went to the club? Get real.”
RobbyCanuck on Jun 10, 2011 at 14:28:54
“What is sick is your country's fawning obsession with guns. Read the 2nd amendment in context. It is only there to permit Americans to take up arms in the case of an armed inurrection.
Forgiveness is forgiveness regardless of the act. A good example was Pope John Paul 23 forgiving the man who tried to kill him
Anyone who cannot find it within themselves to forgive, after the perpetrator does his time and expresses remorse is the sick one. You need psychiatric help.”
“So do yours if you want to be smug and picky about spelling errors. You know nothing about me and presume to lecture me on what really are my typing skills at 4 a.m. But I guess since I can't write at the level of Dostoyevsky when actually I'm typing, I'm some ignorant rube that should be greeting you at Wal-Mart. But sorry to bother you, because obviousyl perfect and do not make any mistakes in your writing (I mean typing).”
Daisytoo on Apr 23, 2011 at 04:49:44
“Oh, I make typos all the time. I was referring to your sentence structure and grammar. Anyway, I don't have any opinion on whether or not you ought to be working at Wal-Mart. What I was interested in was why do you think the world owes you a job that pays more than $7.25 and hour?”
“Yeah it is nonsense to people like myself who have worked since they were 15 and paid their own way through college and law school only to get passed over by people like you mentioned just because they have better connections.”
“yeah but if your parents didn't have a family business...you're SOL. it just astounds how people pontificate about personal responsiilbity when they relly got their skills handedto them by their parents”

“Carter, What astounds me is some peoples endless pit of pessimism and "woe is me" - is that what they teach at todays universitys? NO wonder no one can find a job with those attittudes.
Lots of people make something of themselves from nothing, some from 'worse than nothing' - but not by spending time being envious and angry at others who may have some more fortunate paths.
My father grew up in the South with an outhouse - that his parents contuned to use as their only plumbing until my father paid for indoor plumbing - my father who became very rich at a very young age (had a nack for real estate management) without a college degreee.
Everyone has a "nack" for something. And what he told me - if you can't find your niche just 'pretend' that whatever you are doing is your niche while on your journey to find your place - put your heart into it, what ever it is (sweeping floors or washing dishes - which he also did along his journy), and with that attitude you will succeed - worked for me too (also with no degree).
The movie "Frankie and Johnny" comes to mind. Pfieffer and Pacino.”
“maybe you're not trustfunder but were lucky enough to have someone help you/ a lot of us have to pay for tuition and books on top of room and board. so please spare the lecture because its really unfair when a lot of us had to carry the whole burden ourselves and then our sanctimoniously lectured by people who had help.
summer employment helped me stay in school and I guess if it hadn't you'd be lecturing on me on how awesome you are. even though dady helped you out.”
“I guess we shoiuld all work at $7.25 an hour with barely high school educations and pray that our bosses will be nice.”

“This is hitting everyone--America's workforce is slowly being de-educated and "China-tized." And the Beltway press with the GOP, Tea Party and Dems without courage or convictions are behind us ready to give us that final push off the precipice..”
Daisytoo on Apr 23, 2011 at 03:39:53
“Well, your writing skills reflect a 4th grade skill level. What exactly is it the world owes you?”
“right....all you need are mommies and daddies to give us start up money b/c otherwise you can be a straight A student and it doesn't matter...if mommy and daddy can't afforrd to send you to college or have connections you're SOL....b/c you're going to be stuck in a horrible min. wage job and good luck bargaining your way to a better position like all you righties claim that anyone can do. instead you're going to be treated like dirt and be called a loser and not deserving of a promotion or any sort of better treatment b/c you're a min. wage serf.”
“sure you could have borrowed the money like many of us did....bu no we're not common sense like you and have our rich mommies and daddies pay for oue educations.”

“Different times. I worked on the railroad, and it was pretty thankless work, to pay for university. I also had part time teaching jobs. I got through with no debts. This was in the '70's. Today, I would be surprised if that work was even available. Good luck...”
“yeah but you're lucky enough to have daddy to pay for it...your arrogance astounds me. yet you want you probably want to spit in the faces of those who weren't as fortunate as you.”
fourtruth on Apr 23, 2011 at 15:43:02
“And you are lucky to live in a coutnry where a higher education is even available -though you have to work for it - if the GOP is successfull you may find out what that 'other world' is like. If Liberals are successfull that higher education will become much easier to obtain for everyone.”
Skagitonian93 on Apr 23, 2011 at 03:26:30
“Sorry, didn't do full disclosure. Dad paid for tuition and books. Summer employment paid for room, board, and fun. Surely you didn't think such common sense didn't include participation from the kids involved.
I was lucky enough to have parents who emphasized the benefits of a practical higher education. Certainly didn't translate to some sort of trust funder fantasy”
“No, people like yourself are the epitome and hate and bitternesss when you thave candidates like these who try to impose cruel fundamentalist policies on the American publc, but then have the nerve to think they should not have the follow the same views they espouse.”

“People like me huh. You really reach out don't you. You are another example of what I'm talking about. I do not endorse O'Donnel or any Republican or Democrat.”
