“So it's a false alarm is it? really? then why have they taken away tuition assistance from the Army and the Marines, and soon the Air Force (of which I am currently an active duty member) So its no big deal right? no problem? most of the people that joined the military, joined so they could better themselves, get and education, and have more opportunities. most poeple realize that their so called government paid for high school education is lacking, and join so they can go to college. by the way, these same poeple also realize that they were LUCKY enough to be born in this country and are actually willing to earn the right to trully be called an American. anyone who has been in the military for 3 years or more knows the best way to save TRILLIONS of dollars is to get rid of government contractors. but no, lets just take back what we promised the folks sacrificing their time and lives. no big deal right?”

"The American people must feel this pain or they will think we are able to shrink Government spending"
Your Government administration's job now: Manage your resources in ways that maximize, the sequester's painful effects on all Americans.”

“Not to mention Congress killing the Veterans Jobs Bill...The draft dodgers love their wars but refuse to take care of our awesome veterans when they return home.”

“First thanks for your sacrifice. The military is the real 1% that pays a bill that allows the rest of the country to pursue their goals. Having said that, helping people better their lives is a by product of the military, not their purpose.
I agree with you contractor waste would free up some money, which is why it is so astounding that the administration did not endorse congress' plan to provide him with discretion in where to cut.”
“Government contracts are definitely worth looking into if you are looking at ways to save money. Paying a contracted company $100 for a pencil wirth $.01 is one of the biggest wastes in DoD spending, and it happens every day on a much broder scale.”
“why is this even an issue???? i remember a conversation with my grandmother. she wax wondering why her tax dollars should go towards public education. I then told her, "grandma, who paid for your education, and who will pay for your children and your grandchildren and their children?" afterwards, my sweet grandma agreed. Look. Botom line is is you are attending a public school, you should be gratefull and respectfull to this country for our American tax dollars paying for it. the least you could do is recite the pledge in the morning before school. As far as the "God" comment, it is what our country was founded on. I respect you for your beliefs so rspect the majority for ours. sit quietley while we recite our thanks. and for those who are anti-athiest, our country was founded on freedom of religeon, so quiet down and respect them as well.”

“It is not what your country was founded on the pledge was changed to include god in the 1950's. Our forefathers would have rolled over in the graves at forcing americans to pledge allegiance to our free country. Even more so at the fact that we say a pledge that was written by a socialist that wanted to sell flags. The socialist writer would have rolled over in his grave at the inclusion of god because he was booted from the church over his socialist views. You say you respect our view, but you support mandating children who are too young to understand what they are pledging to do it every day while the rest of us sit down and quietly take it. You and your family can start you morning every day at home the way you wish. When all our kids sit together they should just be learning.”

You could not be more wrong. The founding fathers of our nation saw the evils of a theocracy - the church's entanglement in the monarchies of Europe - and remembered well the excesses that religious exclusionism of the ruling majority wreaked on the minority.
If parents think it important that after spreading the god/virus into the brains of their children at a young age they continue to be an audience to the fairy tales known as religion, let those parents teach religion to them at home and send them to church where evil waits.
It is the responsibility of our educational systems not to validate ignorance but to overcome it.
You didn't get away clean did you?”

Grateful? Understand something- we pay those taxes. That money is supposed to be used for the common good-an education is part of that common good. I am grateful to be living in this country, but as a tax payer, I am part of this country and I pay for the privilege.”

“Ben Franklin- you may have heard of him- called loyalty oaths the 'last recourse of liars'. The founders did not think that instituting any such device was a good idea for a free people. Not until the late 19th century did the loyalty oath become fashionable- and then, without the phrase 'under god' in it. Look- if you think that the recitation of this oath is a good idea, you should also be open to teaching the history of it- which, as a former social sciences teacher, I can tell you is largely left out of the curriculum. You should also be open to returning it to its original state, minus the creative edition of controversial and unneeded phrases.”
“I was Never a fan of Sarah Palin's policies however, it is possible to juggle a career and child-raising. you just have to make a point to make sure when you are with your children, you spend some EXTRA time nurturing them and making sure they understand how much you love and appreciate them. it's a difficult task but a possible one, and kudos to any woman who does it. It starts with the women in todays America as well. as a woman, I could care less what a man thinks of me because I know they could never trully understand which isnt necessarily their fault completely. But when a fellow woman looks down on me for my choices as far as my career, it hurts. we should be supporting each other. we should be each other's biggest cheer leaders no matter if we choose to stay at home or work because ultimately being a mother is hard no matter what, but truly wonderfull and rewarding.”
“losing your virginity hurts!!!! seriously folks!!!! it's painfull!!!! and it akes a loooooong time to get used to sex, and then get pleasure from it. why would I want to go back to that? for a man to get satisfaction? he gets satisfaction from day one! pain free! no thanks haha. next!!!”
“I truly believe that the same republicans who say America died on election day, will be the same ones who will do everything in their power to fight with the dems to prevent any real compromise as an act of revenge. As an Active Duty Air Force SSgt, my paycheck was held hostage over a year ago because of a deadlock in Congress. I was told to report to work regaurdless of whether I got paid or not, which I did. I bet Congress would not have gone to work if thy were not going to get paid, oh wait.............their paychecks were never on the line, and never will be.”
