“I heard that report from the Pew Foundation on NPR today and I couldn't believe my ears. The Pew Foundation made the claim that the majority of whites who support Clinton who say that they cannot support Obama are basically racist, that they are offended by what Obama represents socially -- mixed marriages, cultural diversity, civil rights, etc.

I know dozens of white Clinton supporters who will not support Obama, and these Democrats are educated, white-collar workers who are absolutely socially liberal. What most of us have in common, however, is our new status as members of the economic lower class, in spite of our educations and our white-collar jobs. Most of us -- even those who work full time in professions for which we are trained -- are working more than one job.

I think we are a new demograph that hasn't yet registered on the radar; we're educated, white-collar workers with blue-collar work ethics. We have been outsourced and downsized, and now we are being ridiculed by an Obama camp that thinks we're too stupid to know that he's not Muslim and ignored by an elitist media that is too stupid and arrogant to know we exist.

It has nothing to do with Obama's religion. I wouldn't care if he announced tomorrow that he worships trees. It's so much more fundamental than the Pew Foundation, NPR, the rest of the MSM, and the Obama camp realize or understand.”

“"The CEO of a company whose employee is accused of improperly accessing the passport files of presidential candidates is a consultant to the Obama campaign, a source familiar with the firm said Saturday."

Dendy...On THAT statement, you are correct...

John Brennan, the president and chief executive officer of The Analysis Corp. (TAC), is a foreign policy adviser to the Obama campaign.

AND...

TAC decided to honor a STATE DEPARTMENT REQUEST TO DELAY FIRING the consultant to give investigators time to conduct its INVESTIGATION.

HOWEVER...

The "FIRED" subcontractors of STANLEY, INC. are IMMUNE from INVESTIGATION. How convenient for STANLEY, INC ... and THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION ... and possibly THE CLINTON & MCCAIN CAMPS? ...

STANLEY, INC ...

...the company that announced this week that it had been awarded a five-year, $570 million contract to support the State Department"s passport work.

...the company whose chairman, Phil Nolan, donated $1,000 to CLINTON'S presidential campaign in February. He also has donated to moderate REPUBLICANS, such as Sen. Susan Collins of Maine and Rep. Tom Davis of Virginia.

...the company whose vice president with responsibility for passport operations, Eric Wolking, contributed $500 to FRED THOMPSON'S presidential campaign.

Stanley said it fired two subcontractors involved in accessing the files of Sen. Barack Obama when their actions were discovered. A SEPARATE SEARCH showed that workers also had snooped on Sens. John McCain and Hillary Rodham Clinton.

In a statement Friday night, Stanley acknowledged that two of its subcontractors had examined Obama's passport files, BUT SAID IT WAS UNAWARE of whether any employees or subcontractors had been involved in accessing McCain's or Clinton's files.

STANLEY, INC. was "UNAWARE of" (UNTIL a "SEPARATE SEARCH of") a breach of McCain's & Clinton's files (which apparentlyDIDN'T trip the department's internal computer system alarm?)

Could it be that McCain's and/or Clinton's files WEREN'T compromised???

As much as the media is determent to turn this around and make it in to a come back or the return of the MLK, the biggest problem that Obama has is that he even had to make a speech.
Throwing your grandmother under the bus and calling a hater a family is not my idea of a Change, it’s an idea of calculated political survival and carefully planed manipulation of the American people’s trust.”

richardsgirl on Mar 19, 2008 at 11:46:09

“Acknowledging that the grandmother he loved and the grandmother who loved him occasionally said things that were offensive to blacks was not throwing her under the bus or calling her "a hater." He was making an honest statement about how our attitudes toward race can impact even our most personal relationships, and I suspect that most of us, black and white, can relate to this in our own relationships with family members or other people who are close to us, people we love and people who love us, but people who can say things that make us cringe. I think being honest with one another, as we witnessed in Senator Obama's candor with the American people, is the first step toward Change.”

DasBoot on Mar 19, 2008 at 11:10:17

“With all due respect, Obama was talking about how he could NOT, NOT, NOT throw his grandmother under the bus, despite the fact that she was saying racist things in front of him. I truly believe you live in a parallel universe.

One more thing: so you discard the speech because he is running for president? Are you then also willing to disbelieve Hillary, because she also has been running for president for years? When JFK addressed the nation on the separation of church and state in 1960, he was also running for president. Are you discarding that speech as well?”

Cloud30 on Mar 19, 2008 at 11:05:53

“Dendy if you can listen to that entire speech and not get the bigger picture of his message it really makes me question your intellect. All you got from it was him throwing his grandmother under the bus? He was basically saying that Jeremiah no matter how imperfect he may be is like family to him. The man brought him to Christ, I don't know if that's hard for you to understand but for a Christian that's pretty major. Obama's saying he can no more disown him than he can his own white grandmother. If I caught your 5 biggest mistakes on Tape, and played it on national television over, and over, and over you would probably look like a monster.”

Darkbane on Mar 19, 2008 at 10:58:46

“Played upon white guilt? So you missed the part where he said that whites ALSO have justified reasons for being angry and or upset? They also of real reasons to feel the way some of them do.

Ohhhh I see you read some excerpts of the speech. You read the part about the grandmother and probably a few other things. Sad really.........formulate your opinion on a over 20 minute long speech on 2 mins worth of quotes.

Saying that someone has some flaws is not throwing anyone under the bus. What the hell is wrong with us as a society? Seriously, you can't say ANYTHING negative about anyone without people freaking out or blowing it out of proportion. Yes his grandmother wasn't perfect..........you surprised? You that naive.....got a surprise for you NEITHER was yours or mine and to state that fact or problems they had is not dishonorable its being friggin honest. I bet you have a drug addict, racist, molestor, adulteror, stripper, thief or some other negative thing in your family and YOU call them family so don't be a hypocrite.

Change is having the integrity and honesty to even ADDRESS the issue the way he did.”

“HE ABSOLUTLY THREW HIS GRANDMOTHER UNDER THE BUS.
WHEN ONE IS UP AGAINST THE WALL BRINGING UP A FAMMILY MEMBER USUALY IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL WAY OUT.IT’S CONVINSING, IT’S DISHING, IT’S PERSONAL AND THERE IS A ELEMENT OF GENARALIZATION, THE VERY THING HE ACUSED HIS GRENDMOTHER OF DOING.
IT WAS MEANT TO MAKE US MAYBE RECOGNIZE OUR SELFS AND FEEL GUILTY.
HOWEVER I RELLY DON’T. HOW CAN I?
IN A TIME OF OPRAH, TIGER WOODS, KANIE, WILL SMITH, P DIDDY, SNOOP, WOOPY EVEN BARACK HIMSELF IT WASN’T ME SITTING THERE FOR 20 YEARS LISTENING TO HATFULL RACIST PRICHING.
AND WHAT HAPPENS NOW, AFTER THE SPEECH…ARE THE BLACK CHURCHES GOING TO CHANGE THERE WAY OF PRITCHING, OR ARE WE SUPOSE TO BACK OUT AND LET THE THINGS BE THE WAY THERE ARE JUST BECAUSE WE ARE SUPOSE TO FEEL GUILTY OF THE DESPICABLE SIN OF ASKING QUESTIONS?”

“Why are you shouting at us? It doesn't make your words any more important or make anyone more inclined to read them. It pisses me and others off, and I wish you'd stop it.”
