“What an odd situation? We are celebrating Madiba's life and triumphs in his life long fights for justice, equality, democracy, freedom... and for the lessons he taught the world about the power of forgiveness, the same government that has invited the entire world to mourn his passing and celebrate his life, is the same government that has refused to deliver a visa to a leader Madiba and Archbishop Tutu affectionately call their friends, under pressure from China. Say it ain't so, South Africa, please say it ain't so, President Zuma.”
“"[We're] trying to get them to be a little more sensitive," Boehner said of fellow Republicans at a press conference. "You know, you look around the Congress, there are a lot more females in the Democratic caucus than there are in the Republican conference. And some of our members just aren't as sensitive as they ought to be."
What an out-of-touch comment! Oh my fluffy God, it is really true that a one-eyed person cannot lead the blinds, isn't it? With all due respect, Sir (well who am I kidding, I have none for you!), women (or any other group or segment of the population for that matter) do not need you to be "sensitive" to them, women are demanding and expecting that you RESPECT them, I repeat, R.E.S.P.E.C.T. them not only as co-equal, but also as human beings capable of making good or bad decisions (just like you) for themselves about everything from their health, job, life... without having to ask for your consent or approval.
How out-of-touch can "you people" with "blinders full of women" be?”

“An astro turf organization to push Billary's presidential candidacy and sell us on her agenda.
The "blue dog" democrats and other DINOs have had their agenda carried the way in the Democratic Party for a generation now, what do they have to show for? Trickle down, deregulation, environmental disaster in-waiting, "I got mine, you're on your own" policies...
Thanks, but no thanks. I stand with and by Elizabeth Warren, the best hope we have to right this Ship of States in 2016.”
“What do you mean "choked last year in the Finals"? It's not like they were swept away by the younger opposition. Lest you forgot, it was a 4 to 3 championship win for the other team.”

“Right. They lost. They choked. With all that experience, when they had the Heat down, they should have put them away, but they couldn't cause they were TOO DAMN OLD! If they hadn't mugged Westbrook, OKC would have run them out the building in an earlier round. They done son. THEY OLD! Time to hit the showers, and take the bench as a coach or go play golf with Sir Charles.”
“"But it is still far from catching up with the established space superpowers, whose moon landings date back more than four decades."
Yeah, same were said derisively in the 90s in every Western article dealing with China's development in other areas. It took them about 10-12 years to establish themselves as a manufacturing behemoth and 15-20 years to clinch the second largest economy spot. Between 5-10 from now, they would be the world biggest economy and trading partner to almost every country on God's green (or brown, your take) earth. That in less than 20 years they have been able to build a solid and legitimate space program from zip and are even mentioned competitively with the established space powers should be awe-striking. But then again, there are war profiteers and puppeteers at the Pentagon, State, CIA, and the assorted MIC who think they can contain the rising dragon and would send my young fellow American boys and girls to their dea.th in their attempt at containing an inevitable superpower.
We are accustomed to the saying "the sky is the limit", well I say the limit is beyond the sky for China and they are not proving me wrong. Time to make true lasting peace, kiss and make love with our Chinese brothers and sisters and all our other brothers and sisters on this shared tenement that we all call earth and forget about trying to build an empire while trying to contain others from doing same.”
“Hahaha, the huffnpuffn says it is withholding the names of the six individuals? Well, it is not very hard to figure them out, is it? The NSA document says they are highly influential Sunni Muslims with lavish lifestyles, so let's see... the Saudi King, the Qatari King (with a huge teevee popularity, AlJazeera anyone?), the Bahraini King, cold Turkey Erodgan, the Jordanian King (nicknamed "King Play Station"), and finally crackpot tinpot General Al Sissy the wannabe Pharaoh in Egypt.
Wewww... how difficult could that be?”

“All those dudes and their stable mates now how to party hearty when they visit England and Europe. They're legendary. Too bad their society is so repressive that they have to maintain the double standard.”
“You are trying to use red herrings to argue here and I do not want to fall into that. Again, I am going by what you yourself laid as standard: Adhering to what Christ did and said. Actions speak louder than words. Christ when handpicking his disciples (disciples being students who in turn will become teachers after Christ) did not choose any female figure. There is no female figure in the Scriptures who either evangelized or preached, that does not mean Christ did not recognize the role of women to continuing his work. He often told the crowd, among which women, to "go and spread the word", which is different than instructing them to build his Church, evangelize and preach.
Now about the passages you referenced and your interpretation for "prophecy", prophesying and evangelizing/preaching are not the same. Women prophesied even before Jesus was born. Matter of fact, Jesus is still in the womb when the Virgin Mary is told (by prophecy) that she is blessed among all women... by a woman. Because strictly speaking women are not instructed to evangelize or preach does not mean that the Holy Spirit cannot inspire them to become messengers of God or that they cannot talk about God or the Gospel.
Again, I'm just following a strict interpretation of Christ's life and work as we know it. Going into what a particular word means is the reason we have so many different Christian denominations and I don't want to get into it.”
“Absolutely, you truly do not have to believe in God or follow any religious faith to believe in goodness, justice, fairness, equality, altruism, kindness, decency... I think this Papa and his faith and world view are larger than the Church he is presiding over.”

“We should hope that the forces that will be marshaled against him will be seen by the people as a clarion cry to organize and be heard. This could be a hugely important moment in history, Deparis.”
“And ready, my ears are, Randy man, my ears are ready and open to hear more from this refreshing true man of the world unlike his two extremely Western-centric predecessors who only paid lip service to the issues that are plaguing humanity and the world.”

“This man is the real deal. We may never have another. I couldn't believe one of his recent predecessors has been declared a saint? The one from Poland. He seemed a nice enough man in his way but I never saw a saint. Now with Francis I'm inclined to feel differently.”
“Speaking of staying true to the teachings of Christ versus simply paying lip service to it, if you adhere strictly to the Christ's life, don't you think the Pope has it right to close the Priesthood to women and also to not allow Priests to be married? None of the Disciples was a woman (as far as any Christian denomination teaches), but women served during Christ's evangelizing, but they neither preached nor evangelized. Am I right or wrong?”
Cliff Blount on Nov 26, 2013 at 13:09:04
“You're right but there's layers to this.
1 Corinthians 11:5:
5 And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head--it is just as though her head were shaved.
11:5 appears to sanction a woman’s right to prophecy. That is, to speak to the congregation under the inspiration of The Holy Spirit delivering a message from God. Keeping that in mind, let's look at 1 Corinthians 7:12: To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her.
In this 1 Cor 7:12, Paul states that the advice given in this passage is not from God, but is his own opinion. The Bible infallibly and inerrantly records that Paul’s opinion was as Paul states here. But it does not state this opinion was the Word of God Himself. This establishes the precedent for Paul expressing his own opinion in scripture, but stating that it is such when he does so. Now, let’s look at 1 Timothy 2:11 -15. Notice that Paul says, “ I do not permit… “. What he does not say is “God does not permit”. Nor does he say, "It is not permitted" He says nothing of the sort!! He says "I [PAUL] do not permit .... ".
*250 words makes it difficult to really debate here.”
“All this greed and unfettered capitalism started running rampant under and with the complicity of JP II. He was so consumed with fighting Communism and liberating Eastern Europe from the tyranny of Communism and aligned himself to Reagan and Thatcher in doing so that he did not realize he was freeing Eastern Europe from one tyranny and sending them into another... greed and unchecked capitalism ushered in by his two anti-Communism allies. He was only sparingly compassionate about the plight of the poor. Remember, it was under his watch as Pope that the US went on a coup rampage across Latin and Central America and Africa during the Reagan administration. On the other hand, JP II was humble, but he was not frugal.
Of all his virtues, there are also a lot of things from which Pope JP II looked the other way.”

“There was a year when a famous Court proved that it can and will overturn the will of the people in the ballot box to install its own preferred candidate. If it could be done then, who's to say it cannot be done now?
That's basically what this losing campaign spokesman is saying they will be considering during the 10 they have to fold and call off their show. They are plotting how they could call up Mr. Roberts and his sidekicks to plot a Rehnquist like 2000 coup! Hehehe
“Let's hope repugnantcans for once in their life truly care about unnecessary "guvmint spending" and request that Virginia taxpayers' money be saved from an unnecessary recount. Everyone doesn't believe in freedom of expression? Hang in there and keep commenting despite the unnecessary obstacles?”
“Sure... When the so-called "free Syrian Army" formed and was announced, the media heaped all kind of praises on them and predicted the downfall of Mr. Al Assad within days. Then the so-called Syrian opposition coalition formed and self-appointed itself as coordinator of all "rebel" groups and factions fighting against Mr. Assad's regime and again their darlings in Western media announced predicted their victory in fanfare. Then recently, when the diehard, hardcore guns-for-hire, Al Ciaeda international consortium Al Saudi Al Mujahedin Al Nusra factional groups announced that they will form a new coalition away from any pesty "free syrian army" types, the doom of the Assad regime was again announced by the psychics in Western media. This penultimate international Islamic state of Al Saudi terror Front is the new kid on the block for Western media?
Meanwhile the true, real and only patriotic Syrian army is on the ground liberating and truly freeing Syria one neighborhood, one village, one town, one city, one province and hopefully soon the whole country at a time. But don't expect the darlings of the latest penultimate "Islamic Front" to write about... that would be admitting that they and their champions chose the wrong country to play "freedom fighters" made in Riyadh with.”

Remember the days, When the so-called 'objective' Western media gave us daily or twice daily reports on Syria, when it looked like the rebels might win?”
