“I stopped reading after this guy kept making it sound like the USA would be in bed with israel till eternity. israel is NOT one of the United STATES of America. Thus why in the world should I as a tax payer be responsible for them and their security for infinity? I have no respect for how this supposed country was formed, and even less respect for how they treat the Palestinians, their neighbors, and the Arabs within their borders. Not to mention a country with a religious litmus test goes against EVERYTHING this country stands for.
So please please please..... can we divorce israel once and for all?”

“"So please please please..... can we divorce israel once and for all?"
So please please please please please please keep going with your sweet divorce dream. I stand for strong family values.”
“We are not fighting in Afghanistan to end the oppression against women. If that were the case we would be spending $1 trillion dollars on girl's school and training programs, and battered women's shelters. We are there for the control over the Middle East oil -- period.”
“How can israel be at "WAR" with Hamas, when Hamas is not even allowed to have any weapons?
What a bunch of cowards.”

“I'll say this much regarding the peaceniks, they wear their stupidity like a badge of honor.
Heres a few of the non-weapons that do not belong to the non-existent HAMAS, courtesy
of the Council on Foreign Relations and STRATFOR.
SKS Automatic Rifles
Dragunov Sniper Rifles
Chinese and Russian-made RPGS
Desert Eagle .50 cal automatic pistols
Beretta 9mm pistols
Moisen-Nagant 7.62 mm Rifles
During its power struggle with the non-existent FATAH in 2006-2007, the non-existent HAMAS used these non-existent weapons to launch non-existent attacks on hundreds of Palestinians and non-existent officials within the non-existent FATAH, leaving dozens of buildings undamaged, and no-one killed.HAMAS members carried one FATAH member each on their back all the way to the West Bank where FATAH lives in peaceful co-existence with HAMAS, with regular trading of love cards and flowers being sent back and forth between the two regions.
Life in Gaza as viewed by the Noam Chomskeys of the world.....
“You right about the assumption that women who wear the burqa are simply oppressed being incorrect. Am I an American attorney who lived in the Middle East for years. One of the things I loved the most about living there was my lovely collection of abayas, long black robes. I loved wearing it, loved it. I tried wearing after I came back, but got so tired of the dirty looks, bizarre questions and poor customer service simply because of my clothing choice.”
“Are you kidding me? I was waiting to find what HORRIBLE thing Pat had said, only to be hit with a random statistic he gave about the demographics of the Supreme Court? And that is HATE SPEECH?!!! Lady, please, please do not bring your insecurities about your identity into your work and torture the rest of us with it. Just get over the whole Jewish thing already, please!”
Peter Noble 2 on May 18, 2010 at 17:07:56
“It does matter when you take all that he has said. If Pat had mentioned his Catholic majority on the court too.. then it might be possible to ignore his history.
And if you mean EndtheGenocide in Gaza and the West Bank; I agree but that is another topic.”
“THANK YOU! You pretty much summed up my thinking about israel and what they have done to the Palestinians.
I wish the Palestinians would just get on with a unilateral declaration.....NOW.”
synick on Mar 12, 2010 at 15:41:29
“The Palestinians cannot unilaterally declare. Although it would certainly benefit the 50% living at home in the West Bank and Gaza, the 50% in various camps would start a Palestinian civil war.
The only party strong enough to unilaterally declare an independent Palestinian state is Israel, and they should. The problem is if they did, people who make up their own version of history like Mr. Hari would whine that it wasn't negotiated "per UN resolution", they didn't get the "right of return" and Israel kept some major blocks of land in exchange for compensation (they would rather have the land just to stick it to Israel).”
“Hey, isn't it Obama who said he was going "to be honest with the American people". I am getting weepy just thinking about it.
Now we have a huge crisis, basically a slaughter has taken place using our money, our weapons, and our political clout. But we have to hold our breathe for three weeks while there is a changing of the guard to get someone to take control of the situation.
And what do we get, someone who has less stamps in her passport than I do likely who is going to use "smart power" to save the day. Wow, that was worth waiting the three weeks for....
How about, "As one of the key arbitors of this crisis, the United States intends to lend a fair and balanced approach to ensure a long lasting peace is acheived in the region." Now would that have been so hard?????
Damn, make me SOS.”
WritusMaximus on Jan 24, 2009 at 06:36:04
“Me thinks Obama sent a message to those that would do us harm because we have a new and untested prez.
By the way, difficult to avoid civilian casualties when the enemy hides among the people. Hamas, anyone?”
“Take it from somebody that actually has LIVED in Islamic countries..... the plight of the women there has more to do with poverty than it does with religion. Just like women in this country who are victim to social ills because of her lack of education due to poverty. No warmongering is going to solve the Muslim women's problems.
I will tell what will help to solve them - if the USA stops supporting puppet governments that steal all the wealth from their people, keeping them in submission. We are more to blame than anyone for the plight of Muslim women, not their religion.”
“If you think this country of ours is all about the "spread of democracy and freedom", then you my friend are living in the Matrix. This is about domination of the world's resources - namely oil. If we were so concerned about freedom and democracy, then why do we politically and financially support a country based on the racist notion that you must be Jewish to matter or else you are herded into a concentration camp? How democratic and free is that?”
“So what do we "win" exactly? The title as being the Supreme Beings of Death and Destruction. Oh, Bravo. You can keep that booby prize, thank you very much.
The war-mongers of the world need to simply wake up and realize that the times are different now. You can no longer maime, mutilate, and murder in a vaccum. There is now this thing called the Internet where people from every corner of the planet are now WITNESSES to your soulless quest for world domination.
War-mongers - your days are numbered. The rest of us are watching and we are disgusted.”
“The sad state of the Middle East has absolutely nothing to do with religion - it has to do with the United States needing a military base in the most oil-rich part of the world. How else can we pounce on Syria or Iran if we need to? The religion drum is beat to create a cloud-cover so that all us sheep fall in line behind the supposed protection of the "Chosen Ones" - Israel. How can you not see thru the fog?
What the US does is no different than how an Osama Bin Laden illicits suicide bombers to do his dirty work. We develop a strategy that protects American interests to the expense of the rest of the population, and then create an army of support by eliciting religious extremism to enact the devastation. Sound familiar?
And we are supposed to be smart? I think this country is full of the dumbest smart people I have ever seen.”
“We expect Hamas to renounce violence and accept Israel's right to exist, even though only TWO other islamic countries (both on the American bankroll) have done so. Heck, I am an American attorney and I do NOT recognize Israel's right to exist, and I didn't grow up in a torturous hell-hole like the West Bank and Gaza. So why should Hamas recognize Israel - the force that has been oppressing their people for 60+ years? Give the Palestinians peace and a home that is safe, with their own economy and freedom, then maybe someday they will decide to recognize Israel. Why must it be shoved down their throats? I personally am hoping by then that Israel has imploded and has been replaced with a democratic government, and not one based on the racist notion you must be Jewish to matter.
The only way out of this quagmire is to engage and not isolate and dismiss with a label - "terrorist". These people are "terrorists" according to us, simply because they refused to take it lying down and have the balls to stand up to the Super Power. Kudos to them!
The whole mess is the fault of the US and its supporting cast of Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Heck, I think we've even lost Britian at this point - they have woke up and realize that world domination is a cliche of the past.
Why can't we move on?”

“"not one based on the racist notion you must be Jewish to matter."
Now for reality:
Fact:24% of Israeli citizens are NOT Jews.
Fact: Non -Jews are democratically represented in Israeli government.
Fact: Many Palestinains serve honorably in the Israeli Army.
Fact: A Palestinian served as interim President of Israel.
Fact: NONE of the Israeli Palestinains would give up their Israeli citizenship.
Fact: Arabs controlled Gaza, West Bank and Jerusalem for 20 years ( 1948-1967). Did NOTHING for Palestinains. Got any problem with that? Why not?
Sorry for introducing complex reality into the equation. .”
