“One word: Ratings! Just wait until November starts...anything missing or being chased will get wall to wall coverage.”

LatteLiberals replied on Oct 16, 2009 at 07:27:38

“That makes sense during sweeps months, but its still October. The problem is the media consolidation due to deregulation in the 80s and 90s led to owners placing the news divisions into the entertainment division forcing the news divisions to make money. We need to re-regulate the media turning the news division back into industry that supports the public good and not about making money for some big media corporation.

Arianna is correct. Ed is being a tool. MSNBC could have ran the story as part of its scroll and continued discussing more important issues.”

Commented Sep 05, 2009 at 22:18:12 in Politics

“Mr. Obama, please work Schumer's analogy of public and private universities into your speech. These entities peacefully coexist and compete without "the business" of higher education failing. Private and public health insurance can also coexist...and we voted for you to make it happen.
Good luck with your speech!”

“"...she is genuinely content with herself."

Wow. I never thought it possible. Genuine contentment. Fascinating.

The who are you beneath the masks question has disturbed me greatly. If I remove or discard all the years of labels...I'm afraid of what lies beneath. Especially, the "what if" of there being nothing worth loving, saving, valuing there. This has truly upset me and how I think about myself, family and friends.

Therefore it must be good. I will attempt to meditate on my labels.”
