“If you go to the John Hopkins website. They say have a mastectomy only reduces the risk of breast cancer.
I'm afraid this might give false hope to women, instead of make real changes in your lifestyle including mindset changes in your attitude. Don't play the victim or get tied up in the outcome.
Your the only one responsible for your choices in your life. Choice wisely.”

“They are both right. As Mark said not everyone metabolizes it the same.
I do drink coffee a cup or two maybe 5 times a week. Here is what I do,
Never drink first in the morning on a empty stomach. THIS will raise Cortisol
for at least the rest of the day. Now is this bad or good, again it depends on your
biochemistry. I do not add sugar. The caffeine will push the sugar through the body
faster. Excess Cortisol alters your blood sugar in the first place but adding sugar really
makes it bad. I add Half and Half or real cream to slow the absorption of the caffeine.
This is also why you drink Chai with dairy also. I order a Breve (espresso with steamed cream). I notice a beneficial difference when I have a Breve vs just adding cream to my coffee. Now this my way. I also take caffeine holidays. To each his/her own. You need to find what work for you about coffee but also in your Life.”

“The psychospiritual aspects of Breast Cancer is around not feeling or being nurtured. This involves the ability to BE. Truly healing from cancer involves
Being Responsible for yourself. To response to the action of Being. To learn how
to just BE with yourself, to nurture one's self”

“Oh wise one, great post. We all have to remember that we are our greatest teacher if we are willing.
to listen. And we are our worst enemy if we don't listen. If we listen to the wisdom of our body, it can be our greatest healer.”

“Jkk, I agree. This my point, if you believe in yourself you won't get sucked in by everyone else's opinion,”

“Being older- I was influenced by the culture. Too late for me, I'm afraid. The total impact didn't occur until my job was eliminated, after 24 yrs.. It was then that I realized how much I had allowed myself to be to be hoodwinked.”

This is a wonderful post. And so true. In my 25 yrs in the Health and Wellness field I have noticed
that women are more likely to be 'Givers' than 'Receivers'. This a double-edge sword situation.
I believe part of this problem is 'Fear of Success'. This condition can present itself as a lack of self worth. The thinking goes like this, "If I truly succeed people will see what fraud I am" or "I"m not worthy
of success. I'm better at working behind the scenes". There are Males and Females that also believe that you can't success at something unless you can do it 100% of the time.
My answer to this to reward yourself with two gifts. They are vitamins T and P. Giving yourself
Vitamin T, is giving yourself the gift of Time. Give yourself the Time to Breathe and experience Time to experience Life. Giving your Vitamin P is relaxing into your pleasure. When you take T and P together, you give yourself the gift of Patience. Breathe and be gentle on yourself.

“The other pitfall is believing the people who constantly tell you, "You can't do that..you'll just muck it up." I So regret listening to those people.”

“Bravo, I love the 7C's Here is my take on uncertainty.
Along with uncertainty there is the process of non-attachment.
The uncertainty of the 7C's is not becoming attached to
the outcome. For people to allow uncertainty to work in
their lives, they have to let go of control of it.”

“Blessings to you both. I miss you. Here my two-cent worth on relationships. I call it Soul Food Nutrition.
Do you realize there are foods that feeds us, but don't come on a plate? Love, hugs, touch, kisses, warmth, massage, meditation, fun, freedom, self-expression, tears, hot baths, nature, downtime, and close friends. These all play in feeding our soul and our hunger for a bigger life.
The more primary soul foods we receive, the less we'll depend on food. The opposite is also true: the more we fill ourselves with food, the less we are able to receive the primary foods of life. That is why every spiritual tradition encourages followers to fast, so we are more able to be present to Universal love and the primary soul foods in our lives.
It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It's the relationship you have with your body. It's the relationship you have with your shadow. It's the relationship you have with your relationships. It's having a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual awareness that is necessary for our essential nourishment.
Lack of Primary Soul Foods can lead to emotional stress
Do you need support in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life. The answers you seek are within you. http://coreessencehealth.com/contact

“In the beginning was the word and some how we got the word that we are not worth it. Therefore we
lose our sweetness in Life. In search for the sweet of life we reach for sweet foods to fill this void.
This starts a whole biochemical cascade of reactions including the altering of hormones. Cortisol is elevated, Insulin goes on a roller coaster, and Leptin becomes resistant. This is really easy to fix.
All it involves is a change in lifestyle, diet, exercise and stress management. Herbal and Nutrient supplements can help a great deal. But for some reason we go for the big guns first, medication. When in reality, if alter the way we think. We probably would not have the problem in the first place.”

“Dietitians depending on their training can help. But a lot are still of the school that says it all about
calories. Research has shown that there at least 30 biochemical reasons why one can't loss weight.
Some of the main reason are Poor food habits and choices, Stress and high cortisol, Leptin resistance,
Lack of exercise and Vitamin D deficiency. The best choice is a well trained Holistic Health Coach. http://coreessencehealth.com”

“Hi Ed and Deb,
Deb wonderful post.
This post brings up many thoughts.
To me this is a example of why someone would sabotage their own success.
If you don't love yourself, your self worth is not at place where you believe
you deserve success. Or this person might say, "If I truly succeeded I will have
to walk my talk and then someone might see my shadow side and know I'm
no good. Why should I love myself if no else will"
Bravo you guys,
I love and miss you,

“I think he means D-Alpha or DL-Alpha. The DL version is a synthetic product, therefore
is not natural to the body and does act differently than D-Alpha the natural portion. And yes you should have all 8 parts (4 tocopherols and 4 tocotrienols) or at least all four tocopherols”

“Ask the book title goes, "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, its all Small Stuff"
This why we need Daily Chill Pills or we start perceiving all this stuff as mountain of stuff that
start taking over lives. Then we feel that we not capable or worthy of handling it.
My Chill Pill is at the bottom of all my E-mails
