Herman Cain Stumbling Under Glare Of National Spotlight

Commented Oct 22, 2011 at 19:49:47 in Politics

“Herman Cain is almost the best candidate, second only to Rick Perry. Herman is right about gay being a choice however. Homosexuality is fundamentally wrong and the fact that homosexual marriage has been legalized in New York is an outrage. Nobody is born homosexual, they only choose to be so because they think it's "cool" or "different". Homosexuality is wrong and should never be allowed anywhere. Now moving onto Rick Perry. Marijuana Legalization Receives 50 Percent Support In New Poll

Commented Oct 17, 2011 at 22:55:32 in Politics

“Marijuana should remain outlawed. It is the gateway drug. Smoke it enough and you will want a stronger and longer lasting high. You will get into more hardcore drugs and then the real trouble begins. If marijuana was legalized most likely about 50-70 percent of Americans would smoke it, and eventually start to think, "Hey, this doesn't really get me high anymore, and it doesn't harm my body in any way, so what harm would it be to do cocaine or heroin?" The legalization of marijuana would be a detriment to the health and well being of many Americans, and the health care costs and property costs attributed to people making mistakes while high on marijuana would far outway the benefits.”

''My high is always reflective, peaceable, intellectually exciting, and sociable, unlike most alcohol highs, and there is never a hangover. Through the years I find that slightly smaller amounts of cannabis suffice to produce the same degree of high, and in one movie theater recently I found I could get high just by inhaling the cannabis smoke which permeated the theater.

There is a very nice self-titering aspect to cannabis. Each puff is a very small dose; the time lag between inhaling a puff and sensing its effect is small; and there is no desire for more after the high is there. The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world." ~Carl Sagan

Geoff Abram on Oct 17, 2011 at 23:09:15

“Then you also obviously advocate prohibition of alcohol and cigarettes, since most pot-smokers started with one of those, and after a while became curious about the others.

To be honest though, I learned from a neurobiology class that, while they're is still plenty of research to be done (outlawed, of course), current studies show that only a person who smokes all day every day will likely become psychologically addicted to pot. That's because after a while, the concentration of latent cannabanoids stored in body fat goes up and the person is receiving a constant dose that their brain adjusts to. Any adult who uses the drug responsibly (for instance on special occasions, once a week or something) will not have a problem stopping for months at a time if they so choose.”

murphthesurf3 on Sep 23, 2011 at 22:37:53

“Let's remember....this is Perry's Texas....

The budget deficit there is the 6th worst in the country (even with a partial Stimulus bailout)

Its schools are failing. (Poorly funded, poorly performing, it's about to get worse, budget cuts)

Its care of the ordinary medical needs of its citizens is in the bottom 10 in the country in 5 crucial areas.

It has the worst air and water quality in the country in a state were the environment is innately fragile.

It has the most illegal worker violations in the nation with the top offenders being major Perry supporters.

It has the most minimum wage workers in the country with more than half its new jobs being in that catgory.

Its financial health is dependent on high priced gasoline which hurts most of the country and which depends on federal subsidies for a good chunk of its profits.

Its good jobs (salary and benefits) creation has been overwhelmingly government work much of it Stimulus related.

The largest number of non government jobs have been minimum wage and a majority went to illegal immigrants.

AND PEOPLE WHO HOLD OPINIONS LIKE YOURS ARE THE ONES WHO VOTE FOR HIM.

Reporters in Texas, in 2007, discovered that more than 750 juvenile detainees across the state had alleged sexual abuse by staff over the previous six years Not one employee of the Texas Youth Commission during that six-year period was sent to prison for raping the children in his or her care. Of 13 confirmed sexual assault cases at a Texas Youth Commission facilities in 2006, not a single one ever went to trial.

Allegations of systematic mistreatment at TYC facilities first came to the Governor's desk in 2001, when then-Rep. Dick Armey (R-Texas) forwarded along a complaint that his office had received. That was six years before media coverage of the conditions in juvenile

Rick Perry's Sudden Fall Due To Unforced Errors

Commented Sep 23, 2011 at 22:17:27 in Politics

“Rick Perry repeatedly proves his mettle. He is being bashed from all sides because the other candidates and the media are cowards. They know if Rick Perry is in charge of this country he not be controlled by big businesses and will not work for their agendas. Rick Perry takes a firm, confident stance in every issue he tackles. He has an intelligence that is transcendant and is the best candidate for president. Unlike Obama, he holds true to his promises and has proven so on many occasions as governor of Texas. Rick Perry for 2012.”

CATNIP1 on Sep 23, 2011 at 22:33:12

“I don't know what state you live in, but you really don't know the real Rick Perry. He totally works for big business and his crony friends. He made a hefty sum from his pay-to-play rule at the state capital. He's may take a confident stance on issues, but they are not the issues that are good for our state. He toots his horn about how great it is here, and all the while, we have a massive budget shortfall, that he didn't tell us about untill after he was re-elected. Rick Perry can't debate an issue, that's why he didn't debate Mr. White, during the last election. Rick Perry was an adverage student, with a C adverage grade.
President Obama has kept many of his promises with no thanks to the Do-Nothing Republican/Tea Party.

He wants to talk tough, but he doesn't seem able to "handle himself" on the issues. RP goes to NY to talk with DTrump-as if that's going to help him- and gathers a crowd around him to put down President Obama about Isreal (several people are calling RP on these actions). In each debate, Perry starts off like gang busters, then he peters out. His knowledge and energy seem to wane, and the other candidates just kick butt. How sad that RP does understand some very important aspects of immigration, but the people he's kissing up to will bring him down. RP and MR both appear pho--ney and poised to say whatever they think the crowd/base wants to hear.”

All sony wanted to do was to clamp down on pirated materials and to prevent jailbreaking in the ps3 communities. Its Sony's fault for not doing a better job to secure their own private matters. But what started it was these harmless, interesting hackers who wanted to explore the ps3 and has now turned them into criminals stealing credit card information.

as far as im concerned, I'm pretty sure sony has hired the mastermind who hacked Sony's playstation and iphone, so its other hackers who are in the bust.”
