“Most people don't think America is bad but maybe expect more than just tax cuts for the rich. And personally i think you are wrong about the greed part and you probly need to open your'e eyes to the real world around you! Obviously you or a close family member have never been down on your'e luck cause it seems you just don't care! It's not just this lady here but for most homeless and people that have and are going through tough times! Our government is responible for it's own people and they seem to just look the other way.”
“Did you know in the state of Florida if you feed more than 25 homeless people you will be taken to jail!! And have to pay a fine.”

“Great, another fascist state in the Land of the Free.
Why is our society so good at punishing those that don't fit the capitalist model of wage slaves working to force the money to the top 400? These guys own as much money as HALF of the population of America or 150 million people.
We need to clean out the existing system and start over again. TODAY.”
“As for the homeless in America with all the money and great will we have for other country's in need we should not have one single homeless person in America! Starting with the great vetreans of this country who risked their lives and never came back the same. My government makes me sick to my stomach esp. on topics like these.I hope none of you ever become homeless in America because if you think you have it tough now your'e in big trouble. Meanwhile the people who are mostly responsible for this " THE BANKS" keep raking in record amounts of money and greed.”

“You've definitely touched on another sad issue, Jeff. Our veterans, both male and female, some of them being homeless as we write. Great way to thank those who have stood up for our country, eh? Personally, I don't believe in war BUT I respect those who have been there for us as the military seems to be a necessity in that humans seem to have a penchant for ruling, taking over another's country. What a mess.”

“Your point is sooo obvious, you have to marvel how it could be overlooked and ignored. The true impact of what is occurring right now has yet to be understood by captains of industry who are driving the disaster or their minions in DC who are pruportedly addressing it. You wonder what it is going to take for priorities to be reconsidered.”
“And when this rail system fails than who would be responsible for the loss? Ohh the tax payer and then they would be cutting jobs probly starting with our police force and fireman, school teachers. Too risky.”

“So explain how it fails? You're in a tourist-rich environment. That area of the state takes in millions and millions of tourist dollars and you actually think this line would fail? I'm hardly the exception of someone wanting to go to the beach while vacationing in Disney World. Think THINK about it. Sheesh!”

“Here is a story I found that came out in June 2010.
“Correct and when the money runs out and the track is not complete then what? The only way this will be finished on time is if whoever builds the track gets paid incentives wich will up the cost. I'm just saying it's too big of a risk when everyone is supposed to be budgeting their money.”

“It seems to me that the track can stop wherever it has to but you have to remember, I live in Ohio & people here are always going to Florida or states south of Ohio any time of the year. When gas is $4 or $5 dollars a gallon & airline prices keep going up, an alternate way of going on vacations & trips to visit relatives will look very attractive. It is part & parcel of the push to save fossil fuel use and develop other ways to travel. Everyone knows many states are just sitting on their stimulus money out of stubbornness or to collect interest on it: they ARE NOT creating JOBS with it right now and RIGHT NOW is when we need the jobs to begin. The thing that drives up costs of any infrastructure project is putting them off.”
“Agreed but there isn't enough money or profit for these hopes and dreams.”

“Jobs for the construction, jobs for the companies making the materials, jobs for the workers on the high speed rails, jobs for the businesses springing up at the stops - which translates into workers paying taxes which helps bring down our debt. Plenty of "stimulus money" to get the ball rolling.”
