Gluten-Free Diets And Celiac Disease: Study Finds Little Link

Gluten-Free Diets And Celiac Disease: Study Finds Little Link

Commented Aug 4, 2012 at 04:19:24 in Healthy Living

“Why is there some jerk demanding to see college credentials to justify our opinions on almost every story? People don't have to be doctors to comment and if doctors cared at all about people's health instead of profits we wouldn't be reading this BS. The medical community is obviously feeling very threatened at losing all the care and medications we don't need when we don't eat wheat and grains. I don't need a diagnosis for double insurance premiums. I get seriously ill from trace amounts of gluten and am really sick of being treated like I'm making it up.”

“You might not be making it up, but I work at a 5 star 4 diamond fitness resort as a bartender and its in style right now to be eating gluten free food, and these people just do it because they think its good for them.”

“If I were a doctor I'd want everyone to drink lots milk so I could make more money off them.  I am a mother whose kids have never had so much as an ear infection, because I care more about their health than your opinion.  And I am not a vegan just not a brainwashed sheeple like yourself.”

“Well, isn't that nice. So I was correct that you are just parroting someone else. My mother raised 6 kids and I raised 10. I also now have 23 grandchildren. We all drink milk and we are all healthy. I'm 65 and drink 8 Oz. every day. And yes, I know more about milk than you as my father was a research doctor at the Mayo Clinic in MN until he passed at 72.”

“Yay! I have an idea, kids could drink water! Its not a vegan thing, milk is not as good as we've been led to believe, the dairy council pays for those spots in the recommended diet. And actually far more people than not are intollerant and allergic. Look around you before you start saying it's not hurting anyone, Look at this milk fed society. If you are one of the few that can drink it and really be healthy thats cool, enjoy, but you have no right to destroy the health of more generations with your old fashioned ignorance and denial. Doing things the way they've always been done is not only the definition of stupid, it's the downfall of our society. Milk obviously doesn't do the brain any good....several examples here.”

“What's REALLY causing the obesity epidemic is corn and fructose. Pure surgar cane is a whole lot healthier. Considering that we won a few major wars with those "milk fed society" people. All those farmers that marched off in the early 1940's. It wasn't vegans that kept the enemy from our shores and it wasn't vegans that fought for our independence.!”

Marine Staff Sergeant on Jul 27, 2012 at 02:13:33

“And, doctor, would you kindly tell us what your degrees are in and what schools you graduated from? Or, are you just parroting something you heard or read?”

Our Deadly, Daily Chemical Cocktail

“People aren't 'living' longer, they are being kept alive with multiple illnesses and several medications. Not that many even know whats going on and most require full time care. More younger people than ever are dying from cancer and other illnesses, not to mention prescription medications. And don't get me started on the mental problems in the younger generations. I know several kids with forms of autism, the common denominator??? they all are being raised on nothing but packaged junk food, and being autistic they now refuse anything else. That and the parents are usually the same way (undiagnosed) and were raised the same way.
It doesn't take long to make a healthy meal, thats just an excuse. I'm refering to simple health vegetables and meats, not duplicating a restaurant meal. I used to be a cook and have been feeding families including my own all my life, just requires planning ahead and takes less time than going to a drive thru. You'd be spending a lot less money too.”
