“"We don't have anything against lesbians or homosexuals." Just against them living normal lives, loving each other enough to get married, wanting cakes, OMG. The horror!”

“OMG. He is insane. I am embarrassed. I had a wonderful marriage, my husband is deceased. We did not live like this. We were equal, no "authority." We loved each other unconditionally. No submission, we respected each other without question. How awful this man is.”

“On April 28, 2011 I was in a Cricket store paying my friend's phone bill. The young man serving me was listening to a recording of a man which I assumed was singing a cappella a very beautiful song in a foreign language. I asked the young man about the recording, indicating that I liked the music very much and asking him what language I was hearing. He was quite annoyed with me and indicated that the man was not singing but was instead reading a scripture from the Qu'ran. I told him that I was glad he had enlightened me so that I could better understand what I was hearing. He only glared at me, but I thanked him anyway. Four days later the U.S. killed Osama bin Laden and people wrapped themselves in American flags to celebrate. I thought of that young man and I was embarrassed. I wished that American people were not celebrating the death of someone, no matter how evil. I wondered how that young man was feeling, him being a Muslim in my country. I worried that Americans would mistreat him. I still worry. I don't want Muslims to be mistreated.”

“I know it won't happen in my lifetime but I dream of a time when girls of any age and women can get an abortion at ANY stage of pregnancy, no questions asked, covered by insurance, in every state, with no stupid requirements like making them wait 24 hours; making them listen to a "fetal heartbeat;" giving them any literature contrary to abortion; or in any way trying to convince them that their decision might not be the only choice. Abortion should be available for all reasons and at all times right up until delivery, without negative consequences. PERIOD. I wish I had the medical training to help women in late pregnancy. Alas, I can only argue about it.”

“No it shouldn't, actually. But hey, people have been killing each other since Abel and Cain, so abortion, especially the way you want it falls in that category. I suppose you could claim self-defence.

Especially for you is this:

“Dear Kathleen, I remember when that day arrived in about 1964 or 5 I was pregnant with my sixth little stair step baby. It was way to late for safety's sake to have an abortion so that child was adopted out through Catholic Social Services. The seventh pregnancy was aborted in a very nice Jewish hospital, and I had a tubal ligation. Problem solved. Then, about a year and a half later, my husband and father of our five children left us on grounds I didn't keep the house as clean as his mother did when he was growing up. These are reasons I lived through that will make me say to my dying day that abortions are sometimes necessary evils. No education, 5 small children to feed, no child support on a steady basis, because as he told the judge, "why should I pay support? I don't live there anymore with her or the kids". The judge had other plans for him...JAIL. this happened very often because was a stubborn SOB. I could tell you more but I'm saving that for a book I intend to write. Oh, by the way, I had one diaphragm baby also. .Best of luck, E. N.”
