“i have read more than I need to about the concussion situation with the NFL....the truth of the matter is that the reason the NFL gets sued is because they have the deepest pockets...
these guys have had multiple concussions BEFORE they are even drafted so to blame the NFL is just ridiculous.
not to mention that the actual incidence of gun violence and suicide with NFL players is on par with the rate in the same demographic with non football playing players.
lastly...if you ask every single one of these players that are currently playing....if they knew they would have future problems due to concussions would they quit...every single one of them would say no.....they need to take the majority of the responsibility.”
“Gee didn't see this one coming.....people are always looking for someone to blame.
I know plenty of people that have concussions and don't go on killing sprees.
I hope this guys mom doesn't get a dime.”

“Go read something before you comment.
This is a growing area of research and a well-known concern for the NFL (covering up the devastating effects of brain trauma and not keeping players out of the game long enough to heal, etc etc).
Plenty of people have concussions. 99% of them aren't paid for a living to sustain them without being adequately informed of the risks. I don't care how much money you throw at these athletes, it's only recently this is really being acknowledged and it's terrifying the trauma former athletes suffer. From debilitating memory loss to, yes, homicidal/suicidal urges, this is currently a hot topic of study.
And to be honest, what is $15,000 to the NFL? This can't be about the money. I'd guess (and hope) it's about bringing awareness to the situation.
NFL athletes might get millions and millions, but we send young boys in high school and younger out there with a very poor understanding of the long-term effects. It's a topic that merits respectful discussion, not dismissal and disdain.”
“It does. The problem is not cow manure, it's the improper disposal and processing of massive amounts of it.
Yes, beef is inefficient, the vegetarians are right about that. But, it tastes good and there are billions of people like me who don't plan to stop eating it any time soon. We do need to do a better job of regulating the industry, though, even if that leads to increased prices.”

“Would you ever open your refrigerator, pull out 16 plates of pasta, toss 15 in the trash, and then eat just one plate of food? How about leveling 55 square feet of rain forest for a single meal or dumping 2,400 gallons of water down the drain? Of course you wouldn't. But if you're eating chickens, fish, turkeys, pigs, cows, milk, or eggs, that's what you're doing, wasting resources and destroying our environment.” ... http://www.peta.org/issues/animals-used-for-food/meat-and-environment.aspx”

“No. Read about how our meat diet is killing our planet. Stop eating meat, eat healthy and save the planet.”
“If the chicken could eat me i bet it would....I'm delicious. Animals that are carnivores don't share any sort of morality.....they eat cuz they are hungry. Humans are not animals....we made the word to differentiate. But feel free to procreate with a horse.”

“They would eat you, and they eat each other too. The same holds true for pigs.”
JeetJet on Aug 22, 2013 at 00:29:12
“You are wrong. Humans are animals. The issue here is whether we animals should eat like a common beast or use our bigger brain and understand that eating animals is killing our planet.”
“People get paid for what they do and the innovation they create.....
Tired of hearing socialist comments about CEOs making too much money.....it's America...if you don't like that move to North Korea.”

“In theory, I agree with you. But these are odd times. The majority of jobs being created are now service related and it looks like it's a trend that's here to stay. And given the Obamacare effect resulting in fewer full time jobs, we're also going down a path of people working multiple part-time jobs. Initially one might say, "so what?" But the logistics of that are a nightmare. Look, I'm a skilled IT worker and make pretty good money and I'M having a hard time making ends meet. Something's gotta give. Any CEO of a major corporation who cries poor just doesn't have any credibility these days given the glut of cash they are sitting on. So many are greedy, narcissistic, self-anointed faux royalty who have their hands in the back pocket of our not-so-esteemed elected and appointed DC establishment.”

“If you are a rich CEO who doesn't pay their fair share of taxes and shelters his illegally unclaimed wealth in offshore account, or, are a so called citizen who panders to these CEO's then perhaps it is they who should be moving. Real Americans don't care where, just go.”

“If one protests they have to move to North Korea? Where did you ever get such an idea? Pffffth!!!
Workers need to organize and picket until these gangster capitalists bleed money.”

“Maybe you do not understand the problem, these people making the minimun wage we still have to subsidise them though our taxes because the company wants to make more money for the CEOs. Why not pay .25 cents more per burger, and that will give these people the higher wage that the need not that they want. any comments?.”
