“Why wait for history. This guy will be in prison for his crimes. And they are many and we are taking notes. There will be more than just Obama going to prison, half of the Democrats in office need to go with him.”

“History will not treat low-info voters well.
The filibuster is a rule, not a law. The acting majority can change any rule with a simple majority vote.
Don't want a rule change? Don't abuse the rule. If history reflects that you play GOPer twenty 20 a session, don't imagine it's kosher to play GOPer 400 times a session.
The 60 vote threshold was adopted after the Supreme Court selected George Bush as POTUS. Senate GOPers gave this concession because the party failed to outright win the presidency. The original concession was that only controversial nominees would be subject to filibuster. Democrats lived up to this agreement, filibustering only 3 of Bush's judicial appointments. GOPers have blocked or at least attempted to block virtually every Obama appointment.”

“Traitor? Reid? How does getting business done equate to treason?
Closing down the government because you don't like a law, now that borders on treason. Preventing a budget agreement with Democrats, causing huge cuts in the military budget, now that smacks of treason. Attacking the President, undercutting him as he negotiates with foreign governments, that's treasonous. Refusing to allow the President to fill open court vacancies, sounds treasonous to me.
Please look at all the TGOP objectively before throwing around words like treason. You'll find they fall into the treason category frequently.”

“Still no links, huh? How about this. The UK is complaining about healthcare costs that are HALF of what the US spends per capita. And although some want changes, such as I want Obamacare changed to permit a single-payer option, nobody is urging parliament to eliminate the NHS. Your comments are as dead (and brainless) as your avatar.
There is more than a little irony attached to the Obama administration’s determination to pursue socialist, EU-style “solutions” to America’s problems, even as the European Union is coming to grips with the bitter realities such socialism produces. And while Greece and its financial problems receive some media coverage in the United States, there is a much bigger story flying under the mainstream media radar: in Britain, Prime Minister David Cameron has introduced a bill seeking to partially privatize the National Health Service (NHS). Why? Because the British government is “hoping to avoid a Greek-style financial meltdown.”
“And ONCE AGAIN TO CLARIFY TO THE GALCTICALLY STUPID the warning was put out there that once this was implemented, it would be almost impossible to repeal...and that is also why there is no bill to repeal the NHS. It is also why Canada and GB have both stated their system is breaking them. LOL Putz!”

“Buchanan never said McDonalds will go out of business. He said it would cost jobs. It was inferred McDonalds from the left wingers..
Here is what the left misses in the Minimum Wage debate.
You all believe that if minimum wage goes up, those making more than minimum will also get a raise. THAT IS NOT THE CASE. And those who have worked their way up in the low paying jobs will be the first to feel their dollar be worth less.
Grimm even eluded to this when asked why dont we make it $20 an hour? He said that would then cause some jobs to be lost but "WHEN EVERYONES WAGE DOUBLES OR TRIPLES TO $20 THERE WOULD NOT BE JOBS LOST.
What Grimm fails to realize is he pointed out the biggest error in the argument. If in the end, everyone gets a raise based on minimum wage going up, the only thing you will have raised is the dollar amount defining poverty as the dollar will be worth less.
If this where not the case, the last time they raised the minimum wage, those working at McD's would have been able to afford a house.
You libs govern on what sounds "right" not what actually works in practice.”
abbienormal on Dec 8, 2013 at 14:45:36
“Average hourly wage at McDonald's is $7.81. I don't think anyone who has "worked their way up" in fast food is worried about getting hurt by an increase in the minimum wage.
Same with home health care workers.
Get a grip. By definition, minimum wage jobs do not offer the opportunity to "work your way up".”

Umm, we never said it was. Maybe don't generalize and people will start to take you seriously.
Wage DISPARITY needs to decrease. It has been the largest underlying factor in every collapsed economy in recorded history. Ever look at that?”

It turns out that policy cancellations in 2013 are up only slightly from previous years.
It turns out that policy cancellations of the magnitude is long standing industry practice.

Laura Shelton on Dec 5, 2013 at 19:36:13

“Bush started Iraq War drums before he was even elected then he LIED to get it started. Bush gave huge tax cuts to the wealthy in 2001 and it did nothing for the middle class. Conservatives inherited a booming economy from Clinton with a budget surplus then between 2000 and 2006 the Conservatives had political control of all 3 branches of govt. Bush and the neocon Conservatives took us into a $4 trillion dollar deficit and almost gave the nation a total economic collapse worse than the Great Depression. Liberals and Democrats have never done that in US history. Enough of the Right Wing in this country. I am tired of them.”

As I said the law may not be that simple and it will take some time to work the kinks and I am willing to give them that. On the other hand, you seem to fall right into the group who demands everything has to be perfect right out the the box. Too simple mind and unrealistic they are!”
