“Making them illegal has helped? How is the war on drugs going? You may need more education on this subject.”
jakielewis on Aug 1, 2013 at 10:11:15
“You drink alcohol? More harm done by alcohol than will ever be caused by pot. Check out the statistics.......Besides, when was the last time someone prescribed alcohol for relieving the effects of chemo, as an example. Oh and by the way, alcohol is a "drug." Nicotine too.”
freekmeout on Aug 1, 2013 at 08:46:38
“actually the legalization of drugs in some countries in the past have shown to actually reduce crime and drug use because of its availability through a safer means which also frees up police resources for more important things, reduces prison overflow and saving u money in taxes, and supports the economy through legal sale which can bring in revenue for the states and countries that far exceeds what they could ever bring in before which in turn provides money for a better infrastructure, creates jobs, and raises wages (among other things as well).”
littlemoretime1 on Aug 1, 2013 at 08:45:38
“How is pot possibly more dangerous than alcohol?”
“As heartless as the gays that make us see and hear what they all do with their partners? Are heartless as in the rule of "TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD WANT THEM TO TREAT YOU" Yet they clearly do NOT respect any of us, so why should we respect their antics? So far all I've gotten is the same ole' stuff. I don't agree with them, therefore I am a bigot. O well, "sa la vi". Protest all they want..All I've asked is to keep their stuff away from my eyes when they are with their partners. But They don't respect me so same back to them,”

We learn something new every day.”
shantih433 on Mar 27, 2013 at 18:40:53
“I appreciate the blistering honesty. It's refreshing.
There's a difference between disagreeing with someone and not treating them as an equal. Perhaps you should read some Voltaire? And exactly what 'stuff' are they not keeping away from you? Their very existence? Their affection for each other? Why are you so afraid? Why is love a target for hate?
They have to make themselves known--present themselves and their existence to the world--in order to attain equality. No society learns to embrace a group that is invisible. You'd do well to remember that, because one day whatever group you belong to might be the minority which needs acceptance of the majority. Wouldn't want you to be treated the same way you're treating them, eh?”
“I say let them do what they want. Just as long as they remember that before their forcing this upon us BS that it was man and woman B4 them! But let them do, they'll learn, Just because they get this "right" will not make everyone respect them anymore than they do now. I have a gay friend that just told me the other day that he loves his partner and don't need a piece of paper to make him happier than he already is, In fact he said that he can't stand other gays that want this marriage thing to go forward because it is just plain rude to us straight ppl, and all it does is make straight people disrespect the gays even more than they already do. Most gays just want this for boasting rights and that is wrong in his eyes and does not blame most straight ppl for not liking gays because of this. He said that he is happy that most ppl have let them "come a lot of their closets" and are friends with most, other gays that want this marriage bullcrap are going way too far and he doesn't like it. And I agree 100%.”
“And also imply them being "extraordinarily incorrect and biased" themselves. And I also disagree because although they might think themselves as correct one day when they or someone else finds them to be uncorrect they will Still think themselves as such because that is how they processed their minds to be no matter what. And it seems that you are also just like them, and that's not good.”
“You assumed right, except for the "negro" part. I am 100% not racist against colored people, but gays are another exception, gays are every color of the human race, it is NOT against being racist it is stating our grounds and rights between them and their greed and self righteous plague.”
“exactly what I said, you're either gay or your not. Just took ya'll a long time to accept it. She might of been married for 30 yrs but she wasn't totally in love if she was always a lesbian. So thanks for proving my point.”
RainbowTeacher on Dec 20, 2012 at 06:52:34
“In your post you said it was a choice to be gay - I guess you meant it was a choice to come out or not. Miscommunication? Have a Merry Christmas - hope it is bright and gay! LOL.”
“That wasn't biblical that was "William the 8th I am"'s and greek/roman times. If it is in the bible that is JUST a book that God did not write. If ya wanna go by it just to try and redeem yourself, your'e sadly mistaken.”
“Next will be bestiality, you an marry your own pet\, since you benne ar apparently comfortable with men acting like animals that don't know what to do with themselves so they have to marry 3 ppl just to feel secure..”
“O, you believe in freedom right? I'm guessing from that statement you're also ok with child molesters, ppl that rape others, serial killers, pedophiles, and people that want higher drugs and prostitution to be legalized as well? But "just as long as their happy with it right"? You disgust me.”
benne841 on Dec 20, 2012 at 12:50:25
“No, child molester interfer in the lives of children, rapists demand submission of their victims and force themselves violently upon the raped without their consent, serial killers or anyone who takes the life of another is doing so without the consent of the murdered, pedophiles force themselves upon children wh are not sexually mature, without their FREE consent....
and yes, all drugs and prostitution should be legal and regulated.”
“civil disobedience? They're already disobeying the laws of God, and science and not to mention rules between right and wrong principles, and you're right here siding with them and encouraging them to do just that. You're a disgrace to the human race. Hope you know that. And I'm pretty sure I'm the first one to point that out to you either. I have my oldest niece and my youngest sister that are both single and with a child that just both agreed with me, they'd rather be single and stay single then haveta be with a guy and share his love with other woman.”
benne841 on Dec 20, 2012 at 12:36:35
“Which Laws of God is that? Islamic Law? Hindu Law? Wiccan Law? Shik Law.
Seems like you want to force all people to submit and conform to only your version of Christian Law.
Now, what kind of Freedom of Religion is that.
As for Science, you have a very limited view of what Science is.
Science does not favor one religion or one culture over another.
Scientist may study a religion or a culture but Science never condemns any culture.
You find proof otherwise, from any recognized scientific journal, you let me know.”
“benne841 - Try this one, we had a polygamist group a while back here that had 14 grown up men in it, with 9 wives (each of them underaged but maybe one). with 7 children (each of them 13yrs - 16yrs old), that had children of their own and guess who the dads were? Yup you guessed it. Now you TRY and tell me that that is NOT wrong and I swear you deserve to belong in the nut house”
benne841 on Dec 20, 2012 at 12:12:08
“There are some good medical reasons for statutory "rape" laws.
Listen. If some guy forms a group who's followers join of their own free will and demands sexual access to all their members, and they voluntarally give it, so be it.
If they later regret that decision, it was still their decision, made of their own free will.
Let them alone. The Government has no place in a persons personal lives, regardless what it is.
Somebody wants to bring back the old Aztec religion? Fine. As long as the person having his heart cut out on the sacrifical alter has signed a consent form, with witnesses and notarized.
We have no busness interfering in the lives of others as long as those others do so of their own free will.”

“Wow. Was that the guy who had everyone living in a series of trailers sort of out in the deserty boondocks of Utah?
I do remember a story about at least one man being arrested for having underaged 'wives' and for endangering the children by not getting them basic medical care or schooling.”
“That's the thing RIGHT there. Ppl's lives need to be like you said "THEIR LIVES" not paid for not publicized or televised or any of that the idiotic nonsense! If they are soo happy with their lives it would NOT be on TV.”
benne841 on Dec 20, 2012 at 12:00:21
“However it is against the law and thus they are subject to arrest.
Nothing would have changed if MLK had not used the media to broadcast the violent racist reaction against racial equality.
It was the police beating up black protesters and police dogs turned loose to atack and chew on defensely blacks that turned public opinion against segragation.
At least by publically risking retalliation, yet showing these families happy with their lives, more and more people begin to think, well as long as underaged kids arn't involved, maybe they should have the right as American citizens to live free rather than forced to conform to a way of life they do not want to live.
Or do you in believe in liberty and justice for MOST and not for ALL?”
“I'm pretty sure God finds this completely repulsive as well. So yes we are "judging" where He can't. Some people in this world needs to be disgraced upon to learn whats right and wrong.
@ benne841 - No benn, but they SHOULD follow laws that cause drama and stuff controversial as this. Plus they are clearly doing wrong and for their own selfish greed. If you agree to it then you are JUST like him and them, and that's NOT a good thing.”
benne841 on Dec 20, 2012 at 11:26:49
“You must be nuts. Multiple marrages were the norm in the middle east in Bibical days, among Jews and Christians and later Muslims and more recently Mormons.
The nuclear family of one man, one women and a few children is only a few hundred years old in most of the world.
In fact, the nuclear family was a creation of the Industrial Age, when many young people left the family farms for work in the city factories.
Even in England in 16th century there were men with several wives, particularly if they were wealthy.”
auditor0007 on Dec 20, 2012 at 03:42:15
“You do realize that in Biblical times it was common for men to have multiple wives, right? Now there was good reason for this. Many men died in battle, so there were more women than men. If a woman became widowed, it was the responsibility of the oldest brother to marry his deceased brother's wife or his sister in law, even if he was already married.”
“I definitely do say it is a choice to be gay. My cousin was married to his wife for 30 yrs, had 2 children and THEN leaves her for another man (that gave him AIDS). And there is no such thing as bi sexual. You;re either gay or you're not.”

“Let's assume you're a man. I'm sure if you were raised in a family and church that told you that you'd go to Hell for having sex with a woman and God wanted you to have sex with men. You'd learn to give blow jobs.”

“Yeah, it's like being "a little bit negro." (assuming you live in the U.S. South in the 1940's) Right MNM?
There are two types of people in the world; those who rigidly divide things into two categories, and those who don't.”
pauliji on Dec 7, 2012 at 08:27:54
“Wrong. There are more than just two orientations for humans. Sexual orientation is a scale, it is not black and white. You just don't know anybody's true feelings on the subject, because our culture has very negative opinions about all sexual orientations except heterosexual. Nobody feels one hundred percent comfortable telling the truth about that little bit of homosexual feelings they may have felt at one time, or that crush they may have had on their college roommate. You need to read up a bit on the subject of human sexual orientation.”
origamib on Dec 7, 2012 at 07:38:41
Gay people do not choose their orientation. They may choose (for a plethora of psychological and societal issues) to hide their true orientation or perhaps have been conditioned to be too afraid to admit even to themselves that they are gay, I'm guessing if you asked your cousin when he first had feelings of attraction towards his own gender, he'd tell you it was WAY before he married a woman and had children with her but was afraid to be open about his orientation.
Bisexual people do most certainly exist and in fairly large numbers.
As to you statement about the man WHO you say "gave him AIDS"; your use of the word "THAT" as a relative pronoun (as opposed to the word WHO indicating clearly that you are referring to a person) seems indicative of your desire to dehumanize homosexual people. I know that distinction will probably pass you in both lanes, but it seems jarringly obvious to the psychologically and grammatically aware.
I am sorry that your cousin and his partner have contracted HIV. Hopefully they are able to get the treatment they need to allow them to live the best, healthiest, and happiest possible lives until such day as a cure may be found. May that day be soon.”

“I was married for 25 years but I was a lesbian the entire time. My partner was married for 30 years before she realized she was a lesbian. We are not bi -we just took a while to become our authentic selves.”
WheelsOnFire on Dec 7, 2012 at 07:31:09
“Wrong. Your cousin was always gay, but due to societal pressure chose to try to act straight. That was doomed to failure from the start.
Your last line was curious, and quite correct, though. Yes -- one is either gay or not. It is thus not a choice.”

Bisexual has to exist, especially since the idea of having sex with a woman makes me sick to my stomach.
Your cousin is obviously Bi. You kind of spelled out the definition of Bisexual in his sexual behavior. ( Choice of partner )
Or maybe he was pretending to like having sex with her?”
