“1) show me legislation that articulates what you can and cannot do in the bedroom supported by paul
2)Regarding same sex marriage, Paul wants the government to stay out of a religious ceremony. If a church wants to marry same sex couples that is fine, if they dont thats fine. The problem is you shouldnt be forced to make someone acknowledge something they dont believe in, however you should not be able to take someones right to marry away. Also until like 2 weeks ago, Obama was firmly Against gays right to marry, and romney still is. Gary johnson is the only candidate that has been Pro gay rights/marriage
3) Although I disagree with Paul on most social issues he wants to allow the people to decide at the state level
4) Although I lean towards democrat, I understand and fear the thought of some radical like santorum becoming president (or romney's hand being pushed by the right of his party) and making legislation at the federal level which everyone would have to abide by
The next president will be making 2 very important appointees to the courts and that would throw the balance to the conservatives. With that and the repubs retaining the house it is very real possibility that legislation could be passed.
Thats why allowing people and states govern themselves is a better option. Dont like the state law? move to another state. Dont like the federal law? move to another counrty.”
“You are sort of right, but what about the disenfranchised Obama supporters (like myself). I am/was a Paul supporter, however Obama and Romney are one in the same. Many individuals like myself that I have spoke with will vote for Gary johnson. Yes I understand I am throwing away my vote, but its coming from Obama not from Romney.”
“I will admit I am not studied in past candidates, but Ron Paul is the best candidate, except for Gary Johnson in this cycle (to which they are very familiar).
Paul and Johnsons basic outline is that you should be able to live your life free of oppression and gov intervention until you encroach on some one elses liberty. The golden rule: do unto others as you would like them to do to you. Dont invade, overthrow and kill innocent civilians of other countries unless you want other countries to do that to you. Its a circle we overthrow and support someone (like we have osama and other dictators) and than a decade later have to overthrow them. Why not lead by example instaed of shoving democracy down the throats of others, because right now, looking from the outside in democracy doesnt look to intriging. I could go on if you would like?”

“"you should be able to live your life free of oppression and gov intervention"
How do you square that with Paul's zealous support of legislation about what people do in their bedrooms, lol.”
“If President Obama cared about our country he wouldnt sign bills that take away due process, allows indefinite detention of AMERICAN citizens, and limit peacful protesting. He would follow the constitution and not continue failed bush policies. He wouldnt back track on campaign promises and start new wars, while continueing the use of drones and bombing countries. I will be voting for gary Johnson. Bush/Romney/Obama are one in the same”
“anyone else read the headline as
"Big Banks get another slap on the wrist"”
Donald Garrett on Apr 10, 2012 at 11:17:48
“That is how it works in the U.S. of A. Banks steal billions of our dollars, and are required by "stiff laws" to give back a few of them. Note that Goldman- Sachs was Obama's biggest contributor in the last presidential campaign, and his. cabinet was rank with them. Now, we have "Citizen's United" that says they can give unlimited amounts of money to a campaign, and not disclose a penny !
It doesn't really matter whether you get a Democrat or a Republican, you get corporatism, while the real government stays just out of view, behind the scenes, manipulating the strings attached to the two parties.”
“says statistics and facts. Invisible children even admit that Kony's impact has all but diminished. They seek to capture/kill a man for past misdeeds not current ones. The LRA is far smaller than the KKK within the United States”
The founders make 80,000 a year, with travel food and shelter paid for. Thats odd? seems like all their expenses are covered. If you care than why don't you reduce your pay a bit? However if you want to be like every other corrupt (not all) charity go ahead just dont act like your better than them.
Why is it that we can condemn other countries, but we are facing similar civil rights violations (that the U.N. is lookiing into)
Beyond this our government is pushing these forward(voting discriminations, racial mexican identification laws, etc), rather than in Uganda where Kony has been out since 2005 with very little impact and a scattered following smaller than our KKK in the united states.
There is so much more I could rant about what is wrong with KONY 2012, but it would be to no effect. The same people will never open their eyes. It is not the our responsibility to police the world, especially when we cannot even keep our own house in order. If you do nothing else, please look up the term "blowback" (not directly related to this article) and perhaps you will start to understand. We need to use the golden rule, "Do unto others as you would like them to do to you"
I am not saying Uganda is perfect. However neither is the United States.”

“The UN is looking into states that require ID to vote, far as I concerned F*** the UN its none of their business how we ensure the validity of our elections. ID should always be required to vote to prevent voter fraud. Who the f*** doesn't have a proper ID in America? Oh yeah THE ILLEGALS!!!!!!!”
How about all of you people trying to defend KONY 2012 take a good hard look at the facts
30% of donations go to help Ugandans. Although I think this is not fair, I realize other organizations are just as bad so illl give them a pass.
Ugandans have been outraged by there portrayal in the "films" Throwing rocks and rioting, resulting in cancelation of future screenings in Africa.
Ugandan government has come out with outrage about being shown as an uncivil society.
Bush (Obama continued) a project which goal was to find and drill oil in africa (uganda in particular) to increase supply. This deal was struck recently for oil found in exchange for troops
We have sent troups before with no success. How would you feel if some country made a film making the U.S. look like helpless animals to come get our "most wanted" criminals" (trust me theres plenty)
The organization/group in africa that is supported by IC, does the same stuff as the LRA (killing raping of innocent villages, women and children)”
“Exactly my point. If you wish to live in a country that can indefinantly detain citizens, than you should move to china. We will stay to fight the good fight for liberty and repeal (at least this part) of the NDAA, as well as other measures that are slowly moving us towards a military state”
“Why should people who seek liberty and freedom be forced to leave their country which was founded on libertarian ideology(although not really enforced). How about if you want to leave to go to a country like china you are free to leave and we will surely not miss you”

“I am not complaining about lack of freedom in the USA.”
“Apparently you can not read very well. He said "hundreds and thousands". Which means he has rallies of 600,700, and 800, and also has rallies where he has 2,600 (university of Kansas), 3,000 (michigan), 4500 (idaho), 2000, (missouri). What you misread and thought he said was "hundreds of thousands" which implies crowds of 100000, 200000, and 400000.
beyond that Pauls campaign suffers from the double edged sword or the youth vote. This is because of two issues
1) in a state like Kansas you have to be registered Republican more than a month ahead. About 75% of his crowd was although perhaps Republican not registered, registered independent, or registered Democrat or did not switch affiliations in time.
2) youth vote is sketchy, once again it is hard to get college/young people up before noon on a saturday to go and vote
Furthermore he bases his support from "servicemen"/troops based on donations. He receives 4 times the amount of donations from service members than all the other candidates combined.
His four largest supporters are the navy, army, airforce.
Romneys his goldman sacs and I believe Bank of America.”
“you should care about the third candidate that you either do not know about or are ignoring. Ron Paulis strongly against the industrial military complex, wants to bring out troops back to their familes, and wants to stop the policing of the world that is unjust, anti freedom, and we simply cannot afford. Paul wants to audit the federal reserve on an annual basis and in the short term return accountability to the fed and than end it or as a compromise bring it to a gov dept where it can be held accountable and be audited and officials getting elected/appointed rather than selected by the banks. To cover all three points 97.5% of his total donation dollars come from individuals, not corporations. Also I reccomend looking up Gary Johnson and Buddy Roemer and look forward to rep kucinich or bernie sanders on the D side to be running in 2016”
“You pointed out the problem yourself. just because you have a large number that does not mean anything. the point is your sample MUST BE RANDOM or else it is invalid. To bring your idea to an extreme imagine i surveryed 1,000,000 democrats of who they would vote for. Obama wins 90%-10 %. However we know that just because i surveyed a large number that these results are useless.
To you second point you are right and wrong. Some polls do not reflect even distribution, and that is why you see some polls come out completely wrong. On the other hand more professional polls factor this in. There are many other bias that are considered such as non-response bias and so on.”
“i understand and agree with for the most part with your arguement, however than it turns to what about a 15 year 8 month old, should they get charged as an adult, what about a 15 year 11 month 25 days?”

“My thoughts are 14 yr old and under can be rehabilitated through the juvenile system and shouldn't be tried as an adult. 15 yr and up free game and it depend on the crime committed in my mind. This kid (17) malice, cold, and calculating by shooting into a crowed of kids eating breakfast shows he didn't have care for any ones safety or life. I personally think he should be put to death, just my opinion of course because I do not have a bleeding heart for anyone including kids who just kill for killing sake. I have a bleeding heart for the 3 kids who will never live a full life or who parents will never get to celebrate a grandchild, college graduation, or weddings.”
1) I am not a Paulbot, like people try to say supporters like myself are. I do not worship the man and understand he does have weaknesses that hurts him. I dont agree with a decent amount of his positions, but support him, because of the important ones I do agree with, as well as him being the only honest candidate with any shread of integrity.
2)As long as he doesnt the MSM will be able to tear him apart and keep bringing up the same old story whenever he starts any kind of surge in the polls. Perhaps if he returns the money we can start discussing his opposition to the drug war and war abroad that has a stronger impact on minorities and the middle/lower class, and his opposition to the death penelty because of its misuse and dispropotionality of use against African Americans.
3)I have a realistic outlook of Ron Paul and his idea/movement of Liberty. I will continue to support him on the ground, and look forward to the 2016 election when a similar candidate such as Kucinich, Sanders, or Johnson can pick up the torch”
“Yes I am a Paul supporter and yes I wish he would return the 6000 dollars.
Yes I am a (second choice) supporter of President Obama and I wish he would return the millions of dollars from tainted sources such as big corporations like BOA and other bailed out organizations like the auto industry that DID NOT honor bond "contracts" with bond holders and instead defaulted and never paid back

“If you ARE a Ron Paul "supporter", why do you have a problem with HIM, accepting money that can be used to make America a better place to live...for EVERYONE.?
“Paul wants to keep grants (essentially for only poor) but get rid of loans. When the govt loans money to people(for education, housing) that cannot pay it back they are essentially absorbing lose our govt cannot afford. Erasing student debt as Obama wants to do would be likebailing out business, telling people dont worry the govt will take care of you dont worry about responsible investing or anything. What people choose to not understand is you CAN go to community college for two years than transfer your credits to a four year at a substantially lower rate, (about 1,000 a semester), or even better how about maybe you get a job and pay as you go (like I do). I went strait to a four year school and have worked 40-55 hours a week going to school 12-15 credit hours per semester and I have ZERO debt. Now i cant expect everyone to do this, but I am also going to D I school, which as earlier eluded someone could go to community college save up money(about 1/5 or less the cost). furthermore you dont have to go full time but could spread it over 5-6 years (which most people do anyways) To top this off if you really are "poor", family income of roughly 0-40,000 thatn you can get federal aid up to 5,000 in just the pell grant not inculding other smaller grants which cover a lot of the cost (fafsa.gov)”
“regarding education, Paul has said and reinforced at the debate (when newt and santorum said it should be handed to the local than to the parents) that although that would be ideal, that the state must be there to step in and have control of education. My main issue with having fed over state that is if you have a fed education and you dont like it, too bad
if you have state education(or any law for that matter) you can move to another state
And most importantly the constituion states any power not delegated to fed goes to state. You want to change that? get an amendment passed.
As well from reading your comment you would think they poor are excelling in education right now, however that is not the case.”
When people say Paul doesnt want to regulate business they are telling a half-truth. Yes i will agree he does want to get rid of too many regulations. However Pauls point is government shouldnt pick winners and losers. He doesnt want to get rid of all regulations, and actually wants to strengthen the enforcement. How is the hypothetical scenerio of Pauls presidency where big business takes over and has all the power different from the atmosphere we are currently in where business (specifically govt supported) has taken over and has all the power? now people (specifically the most qualified) are encouraged to work for big corporations where they will never lose their job, as the govt as proved they will be bailed out. This creates a situation where big business gets bigger and small business dies out as they can not attract/affford the best help and struggle to fight around regulations that at sheer cost is a larger part of their revenue than big business.I am not trying to bash obama here but a few examples. Big auto industry gets bailed out even though many auto places were doing fine. Why not let the people who can self-manage stay in business and those that cannot go out and be replaced. Yes I am for green energy but why does the govt get to select businessess they like and give the money (sylindra*) rather than let the businesses that can manage get to strive?”
