“I think you just refuse to believe the China data. I didn't say they weren't investing in renewables, I just said they aren't running their manufacturing base on it. And your statement on capitalism in China proves you do not understand the definition of the term. Capitalism is private investment and free markets. China runs as a fascist state to control its economy.
If renewables are so great why isn't China using renewables to support those billion people moving from the 18th to 21st century? And, you excuse China for generating CO2 to run a manufacturing base, but my guess is want to close down coal and gas fired electric generators in this country that support what manufacturing we have left, i.e. force them overseas.
And, I didn't say Spain didn't build huge renewable installations, they did at huge cost and little KW output that helped crush the economy with expensive energy cost. And the reason you are bored is because you take a myopic view on this subject and won't take a look at more facts. Building large renewable facilities doesn't equate to sound energy policy. Just ask the Germans with no power due to high renewable energy cost if they live in a first world country, or are living like Somalians.”
“The east coast has always been hit by hurricanes, and always will be. The 30 year cycle has also just flipped, and the east coast will be hit by more hurricanes in the coming years, so can't blame that on AGW if you understand the physics.”

“I understand that the reason for Sandy not simply wandering up the gulf stream is largely due to the arctic ice melt which created a series of events each of which contributed to the increase in size and the westerly direction of travel.”
“China/India plan to build $720 billion of coal-burning plants in 2 decades. Wen Jiabao stated in a March 5th, 2012 report that China will end the "blind expansion" into wind and solar energy, instead developing nuclear power, hydro-power, & shale gas. China is developing renewables, but aren't running their manufacturing base on it, & don't plan to.
China looked at Spain's economy that was geared to run on renewable energy production, and saw it failed.
Germany is taking the same renewable energy risk, and to date it has been a failure. Energy prices are 3 times higher than here, millions can't afford electricity, & multiple German solar companies have gone bankrupt. You just can't run an industrialized nation on windmills and current solar technology.
CO2 may be rising, & temperatures may be a little higher, but that's typically what happens at the end of an interglacial period. How much of climate change is related to AGW is still a question since the models fail miserably with real data. People had better wake up to the realities of having the standard of living you do now, or blindly destroying an economy and your standard of living by believing humans are causing every catastrophic weather event.”
By the way, did you ever hear that China has over a billion people? Makes it kinda silly to compare their pollution to ours. ESPECIALLY when you consider that a huge amount of their CO2 output is directly and completely attritutable to us giving them our entire manufacturing base--so they can make products for us.
Gwermany and Spain? Don't bore me. Read up. You are way behind, and I've seen Spanish installations that would make your head spin. You want to stay in the 18th century, check out the energy situation in Somalia. You'd feel more comfortable.”
