“Because its still a free county, no matter how hard you Cons are trying to change that, and you don't have to have an ID to practice your constitutionally guaranteed rights. You only need a license to drive, etc.”
“Where is that in the Constitution? Did I miss that part?!
Look pal, if you don't like the US Constitution, the Supreme law of the United States of America, you should probably find somewhere else to live.”
“"Sour Grapes" probably refers to the Red Wings and Jackets, who wanted to move east, and the "jets" who wanted to be in a division with the other western Canadian teams- and also all the other teams in the former Central that are sick of losing to the Red Wings. I think "we're still in the league" more to do with the fact that the far west games are watched by far fewer people as they're on late at night- western NBA teams have the same problem. That division has lots of stars than any other realy: Thorton, Marleau, Luongo, Iginla, Sedins, the young Oilers,Carter, Kopitar, Ryan, Getlaf, Perry”

“I'll readily defer to your perspective on this. I'm a Bruin fan from my childhood and a Lightning fan from living here in Florida. And you're right. The western teams are seen far less than the Penguins, Caps, Bruins, etc.
And I have to admit, I did give my buddy, who's a Vancouver fan, a lot of grief about the disappearing Sedins in the finals last year. I may have even thrown in a reference to at least one of them "wearing a dress."
“Horrible plan. NHL should have tried harder to keep the Thrashers in Atlanta like they have with the Preds and Yotes . Moving Columbus or Preds to the East, making the "Jets" stay in the SE, are all better for travel and balance.
1. Eastern teams will have a much easier chance at making the playoffs than Western teams 57% vs. 50%. Can't believe only 4 nay's considering 16 teams will overnight be at a huge competitive disadvantage.
2. No real basis for an All -star game other than North America vs. Europe
3. Both FL teams will be traveling even more than the Jets are now.
- many other reasons. Only makes sense if the NHL is planning on expanding to 32 or contracting to 28 very soon. Makes a bit more sense if the Yotes are going to be moved to the East- but that still leaves the teams in the 8 team divisions at a huge disadvantage.”

“unless they make 2 wild card positions, which would negate that unbalance somewhat”
“This was the same guy that had police search his house after they intercepted a parcel from Mendicino CA containing a flower of a certain plant that is illegal to possess in the US. Must have been that creeper!”
“Kip Brennan was the one that started that... a dense Canadian thug Checkov signed because they'd rather be the Chiefs of the KHL than win games. Read his hilarious wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kip_Brennan”
