Most of the people I know that consider themselves Tea Partiers were Republicans in 2000 and voted for Bush, maily because when Bush and Gore debated, Bush argued against foreign intervention and nation building. “FDR created new jobs with the CCC, WPA and other like agencies. Men who could not otherwise find work joined up, built roads, bridges and parks, which added to the US infrastructure and had some extra money to send home. Obama could do this and add building rail lines to the list, as the railroads took up some of the lines years ago. We need rail travel again.
