Retired Major General Serves Up Epic Takedown Of Obama's Syria War Plans

“Whether the president gets the approval for a military strike in Syria or not, I'm appalled at the former military mouthpieces, who obviously are on the opposite side politically and want nothing more than to embarrass the president, much like the republicans in congress. The president did the opposite of the bush admin., and came forward publicly to ask for, and debate the very unpopular military strike in Syria, the president knew the right would make this very hard and still sought approval. Many believe 9/11 was the catalyst for the bush admin. to attack something, anything, just make something up and attack, with that in mind, and the lies we were told, I question whether the Bush admin. was aware of and ignored intelligence leading up to 9/11. I applaud the Obama admin. for asking congress for permission to strike the Assad regime and am very happy we didn't have another 9/11 to whip the American people into a frenzy to support another war.”

America's richest think its 99.99% of the way to being perfect and will achieve perfection as soon as the peasantry come to understand how disposable they are and how easily they can be replaced with cheap foreign labor. “As a kid, from age 7 to about 9, while walking or playing outdoors, I often had a sense there was another plane of existence, I often felt a desire to go try out this strange new place, a feeling of peace eminated from it. All I had to do was move to the left and I would leave this plane and enter another, I never acted on it, the second I sensed it, I would force myself to walk straight, as if by veering I would leave this plane, I was to scared. I had no idea what it was until later in life, I'm sure it could all be explained by my very creative imagination, it felt very real. I hadn't thought of it for years until my son reported feeling the same thing, I got goose bumps.”

“I have told people for years that I count things, more so when bored. I find myself counting
Lines in the road while driving to work, then counting lines that line up, or overlap with other lines in the road. Often I count the lines, count the ones that over lap with lines in other lanes, count the ones that do not overlap, then if real bored, I count all the previously mentioned items, and count the lines that line up with driveways and the lines that line up with curbs. I even have a game of sorts, If a line I'm counting has a car coming in the opposite direction, I count the line only if a car is not lined up withy line, and shoot the cars that do line up with said line, keeping track of all lists of lines and numbers. All lines and numbers go out the window the second I see a brake light or intersection, anything that requires more attention. I'm not a savant, I do get weird looks when I tell people though, maybe I should just roll up the window and NOT tell people they are stopped next to the 37th line from the last lite.”

“Russia stands to lose the most if we go into Syria, one reason is, Qatar wants to build a natural gas pipeline through Syria, and sell the NG to Europe, Russia currently has a stranglehold on NG sales to Europe. The Russian military base in Syria, could be saved with a deal between the major players. The pipeline would cut Russia out of a huge cash cow, Qatar and the USA have the largest NG supply in the world, Syria will be just like Afghanistan, in that, one of our main goals was to build the pipeline Russia failed to build, the USA did build it. The biggest question is, will Syria turn into Afghanistan or be more like Libya.”

Pablito Rivera on Sep 6, 2013 at 08:04:37

“Of course, it is all about oil and gas, "chemical weapons" are just a fairy tale for naive public. Big business does not care about few hundred dead Arabs, they have killed hundreds of thousands of the same Arabs just to get their oil.
Iran, Iraq and Syria were going to compete with Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and recently new player in gas market Israel by building a pipeline to export gas and oil to Europe, that is why sanctions against specifically Iranian oil, and war against Syrian government which is Russian and not our client regime. It is all very simple: oil and gas.”

“American politicians may look like they are lying, the truth is, Americans will not support the truth, follow the money and all will be clear. The petrodollar is the main reason for our current desire to go into Syria, we have to, or our way of life will suffer dramatically if not. If Americans only knew our very way of life is threatened daily by other countries interest in knocking the dollar out of the spot as defacto international currency, we would better understand the reasoning for the presidents desire to go into Syria, amongst a few other reasons.”

“Actually there is a lot to lose, say, 25% of our market and economy, if we don't act now. Long story short, Qatar wants to build a natural gas pipeline through Syria, sell it to europe, and challenge the Russian stranglehold on NG sales to Europe. We gain in three ways, sell our NG to Europe via the pipeline, remove Assad and further isolate Iran and finally. We thwart Russia who wants to stop using the petrodollar to sell NG and oil, which will decimate our economy and render the dollar worthless.”

“The pipeline is finished and has been up and running for a while now, that was the objective, the same objective Russia failed to accompolish. The reason the war lasted so long is the people who profit from it, never want war to end. Saddam tried to stop using the petrodollar to buy oil and was removed, same with gaddafi. The same thingis happening insyria as happened in Afghanistan, a natural gas pipeline, Qatar wants to run it through Syria, sell it to europe and cut out the Russians stranglehold in that regard. The USA and Qatar have the most natural gas, if we go into syria, one, we will make a lot of money, two, we get rid of Assad and further isolate iran, most importantly three, we usurp Russia and takeover natural gas sales to Europe, which Russia and many other countries are trying to stop using the dollar to buy oil and gas. If we don't act now to remove Assad we will ultimately face other countries who stop using the petrodollar and our way of life in America ends, almost instantly, sorry it's so long.”

“Russia has a chance to mend fences with the USA by publicly condemning the perpetrators of this heinous crime. A simple public proclamation by Putin would go a long way towards a solution in Syria. Russia has, so far, not stood up for international laws regarding the use of chemical weapons. Putins public lashing of the perpetrators, could be toothless, but would open an opportunity for the big players to map a peaceful way out of this quagmire, which is Syria. What is Russia's response so far? Send warships to the area, not good.”
