I was referring to how Hitler went to power on the back of Catholic fundamentalism in the same way the W. Bush went to power here on the back of Christian evangelical fundamentalism.

In both cases, the juxtaposition of religion and government resulted in fascism.”

“You are correct. We have no other recourse. Our representatives no longer represent US and haven't for over nine years (If they did, Bush and Cheney would have been impeached). The court system is polticized. The media is owned by right-wing interests and doesn't report demonstrations and dissent. Therefore, there is no avenue for the people to express their dissatifaction except for the streets. It's either that or an economic boycott.

The big question is--- Why are the American people waiting until every last cent is gone before they do something?”
