President Obama Attacked By GOP For Failing To Meet His Own Ethics Standards

President Obama Attacked By GOP For Failing To Meet His Own Ethics Standards

Commented Aug 2, 2012 at 12:17:56 in Politics

“"Each administration has the power to make it's own tax codes, and
neocons have been notorious for making codes that favor the rich...all
the way back to 1980...and the proof is that the rich have been able to
grow their wealth and flourish, while the middle and working class has
dwindled and stagnated."

The number of people who are wealthy has grown. So it only stands to reason that the number of middle class citizens has gotten smaller. Don't worry, everything will be equally miserable soon. We've already fallen off the cliff. We just haven't hit the ground yet.

"Romney won't dare show his tax returns from the GWB administration
because people would see how much he was able to legally screw the
government out of, at the expense of ordinary Americans."

In order to buy your flawed premise, one must believe that all capital belongs to the government to begin with. That of course isn't true, and thus your premise has no validity.”

zinxeb on Aug 2, 2012 at 13:09:41

“Your premise of "all capital belonging to the government" is as flawed as neocon's premise of "all capital belonging to private corporations".

In a Democracy like ours, it is expected that people pay a certain percentage of our income to the government in tax revenues...what percentage of those taxes that the wealthy pay to our government is the topic of debate here, since neocon policy to cut social programs for the rest of ordinary Americans to fund their wealthy compaign doner's life-style will affect the rest of ordinary Americans, who have the right to know just who will lose and who will gain under neocon "free market" casino economics.”

“There is no way to irrefutably prove or disprove one's political affiliation, even if they characterize themselves in such a manner. Therefore, we are forced to rely on logic, which is precisely what I've done with my previous comment. I'd also like to point out that the Washington Post publicly endorsed Barack Obama in 2008. The stated facts are hardly non-liberal characteristics.

PS

What makes you think you get to unilaterally decide when the debate is over? How this will work out, as it often does, is that I'll relentlessly counter every antagonistic argument you offer with logic and raw data until you get tired of being a duplicitous intellectual coward. Then we'll both know whose premise was valid or not.”

“I succinctly responded to your inquiry. How is that putting words in your mouth?”

Robert Levi Marenda on Aug 2, 2012 at 10:34:57

“It is impossible to discuss anything with these right wing nuts. They do not even understand the words they are using. We need to round these people up, disarm them, and lock them in padded cells until they can learn right from wrong.”

“Fluke's testimony was on February 16th of 2012, and thus it most certainly occurred less than 6 months ago.

The author of the Washington Post article was a liberal. Otherwise, the unsubstantiated and patently false hit piece would have never been written or published.

You can obfuscate all you like, but I'm entirely too astute to let you lawyer your way out of this. You should be glad I wasted my time responding to your inquiry.

Now, back in your hole ;)”

“So your premise is that the IRS tolerates tax code violations?”

zinxeb on Aug 2, 2012 at 11:44:55

“Why would you assume that I would think that the IRS tolerates tax code violations, or that Romney violated any?

Each administration has the power to make it's own tax codes, and neocons have been notorious for making codes that favor the rich...all the way back to 1980...and the proof is that the rich have been able to grow their wealth and flourish, while the middle and working class has dwindled and stagnated.

Romney won't dare show his tax returns from the GWB administration because people would see how much he was able to legally screw the government out of, at the expense of ordinary Americans. He knows that neocon's economic policies of tax breaks for the wealthy and deregulation of big corporations and big finance were the driving forces of the greed that caused the recession...causing ordinary American people to lose $11T in wealth, while the wealthy bailed out with golden parachutes. All perfectly "legal"!”

“Really? You can't handle the truth so you try to insult me. Typical tactic by a conservative in denial.
Please read this article, there is way too much information to cut and paste. It contains clear evidence/proof that Reagan knew what was going on. http://www.tinyrevolution.com/mt/archives/002952.html
Then there is this too: "Former Presidents Reagan and Bush deceived the public about their knowledge of the Iran-contra arms-for-hostages deal, according to memoirs being published tomorrow by one of the central figures in the event, former national security adviser Robert C. McFarlane." http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/archive/?date=19940911&slug=1929987
This too: "In his book, Mr. North writes that "Ronald Reagan knew of and approved a great deal of what went on with both the Iranian initiative and private efforts on behalf of the contras and he received regular, detailed briefings on both." http://www.nytimes.com/1991/10/20/us/north-says-reagan-knew-of-iran-deal.html?pagewanted=all&src=pm
But hey, what do Oliver North and Robert McFarlane know? They were only there, they are only eye witnesses.”
