“A-hem...There ARE some intelligent Texans who did NOT vote for Cruz, or Perry, or Romney for that matter. So please don't lump us in to the same catagory as those secessionist Texans. Texas actually use to be a blue state. I yearn for the day the normalcy returns.”
“I'm a member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, and I actually was not aware of this rule. I'm quite dissapointed that a Lutheran minister can be reprimanded and even suspended for praying and providing Christian comfort to fellow human beings. So what if he's amongst other religious leaders from different denominations???!! The Lutheran Church leaders seriously need to re-examine this foolish rule, and ask themselves "what would Jesus do?".”

“For the first time, we are seeing the church as it IS. I am afraid other such "organized bodies" where regular paychecks to pastors are important have similar intolerances and punishments for those lapses in judgement. I am more appalled at church members who also felt Pastor Morris was wrong - what in God's name is wrong with these fearful, intolerant people who put their brains, and apparently hearts on a self? I think my husband may leave behind the idea of returning to his Presbyterian church again, after a decade lapse: he is rethinking organized religion (as are many now, I am sure).”
“I do. I've always liked Kelly better than Regis. I always felt Regis was too full of himself. I just can't believe they wasted their time having the Romneys appear, knowing they could never ask a serious question or get a truthful answer. Well, maybe the Honey Boo Boo answer was truthful but who cares??”
“They like to stand on their righteous soap box and shout about the sanctity of life at conception, but have so little regard for the woman's life. It's like the guy who kills the doctor at an abortion clinic because that doctor was "killing" a fetus. Do they not understand the hypocrisy???!!”

“I've thought about this a lot. I don't know the answer but I think it is because women are subservient to men. Our biological functions matters more than our lives.
I think they are so big picture, the few women they could kill because they have the right morality.
It is like the tax cut mantra mixed with the corporate welfare. They know the country can't sustain the debt, but their budgetary choices make the debt the only reasonable conclusion.
Maybe a woman less able defend herself from intrusion is exactly the point.”
“Did you send your letter of resignation to the corporate church office in Salt lake City? If you didn't then you're still on their membership list. They may be counting you even though you don't want to be counted, hence their inflated membership numbers. Only church I've ever heard of where you have to formally resign!”
“HA!! That's too funny!! I was just reading about different groups that usually vote republican where Romney's not polling very well. Did you know there's a group they call the southern WalMart-ers?? I think you just described that group to a tee!! Don't get me wrong , I live in the south and I DO occasionally shop at WalMart, but I'm sure everyone has received those awful emails of wacked-out people shopping at WalMart. They've GOT to be the the target group I read about.”
“And how, may I ask, do you know for a fact that the president actually missed these briefings??? There's more than one way to be briefed than by attending a sit-down meeting. I'm sure the president has many meetings; on Airforce One, over the phone, teleconference, etc., etc. And what collusion??? Are you making this stuff up? Where are your FACTS, please?”
“The only ones who weren't slaughtered were children under the age of 8. They were farmed out to various mormon families, some who actually participated in the massacre. The children's relatives from back home complained to the govt., and these children were later returned to relatives.”
“This would be fine if they were only talking about military absentee ballots, but they're not.
Yes, I think if a soldier is on active duty and needs to cast an absentee ballot, that person should be accorded lots of extra time, and the ballots should be delivered to precinct offices by special delivery. But that's not what this is all about. This is about not allowing veterans living in Ohio and every other voter there to cast their votes on the weekends preceding the election. And why??? Everyone was allowed to do this previously, why limit this practice to only active military? Doesn't make sense to me, but then NOTHING the republicans have been doing make any sense. They're so afraid they won't win (and rightly so) that they're doing everything in their power to take votes away from Democrats, President Obama in particular. The epitome of dirty, rotten politics. Makes me sick!”
