“What made that thought pop into your mind anyway. My thought was, what a cute little girl.... She'll probably grow into an amazing dancer, and it's cool that she and mom do this together. Not once did I think? I wonder where dad is, there was no reason for that thought> at least the way i "see" things.”
“That's part of what Ron Paul says...
He also believes we should adopt a pre-WWII approach and just isolate ourselves from the rest of the world. This would be a fool’s errand. That void would be filled, by what power, who knows. We can continue to be that shining example, without forcing it down others throat!
Besides that... Rand is just as nutty, and I'm sure Pop's would have given him a post that he could have really done damage.”
“Are you a baseball fan? Do you follow the game at all?
Obviously you don't or this wouldn't have been your response. You get one of these outburst a hand full of times per season across many teams, committed by players of many different races. Like I said this was "extremely out of character". HP usually post these outburst, how many of the others have you refered to as a "Thug". Before you show more of your ignorance, do a little research on David Ortiz. ”
“Obviously you... and many of the posters here aren't familiar with baseball. I'm no Boston fan, but David Ortiz is one of the best men in the game... Both on and off the field. Can explain, and won't even try to justify that reaction. Extremely out of character. But the immediate assumption of Thug speaks volumes.”

“Someone who gets paid sooo much for playing a game and then acts like that is not "one of the best men in the game..."
Assumption? Not really...just observing his actions...
thug... (n.) " brutal person: somebody, especially a criminal, who is brutal and violent..." BTW a thug can be any race, just in case your are implying any type of racial overtone that is so common at the huffington post...”
“No, he must be retiring, and feeling free to be a human being. If he was concerned about re-election he would be singing the praises of SYG. Have you met one republican that doesn't support this law. Now anyway!”
“That's situation is protected under self defense. SYG allows the use of deadly force as a first resort if you interpret yourself to be in danger. So technically a person being shoved could fear for their life\safety and use deadly to defend themselves(as the first option). The Castle law gave individuals protections primarily on their property, the "Stand Your Ground" law gives those same protections everywhere, so then it is up to an imperfect system to determine who is entitled to this defense.”

“No it removes a duty to retreat, in a lot of states you're supposed to back off and let them. ”
“Good example of how people bend things to support their leanings. The President speaking about there needing to be a discussion on race, and an evaluation of "Stand your Ground" type laws is fanning the flames. I think it's a step to moving our country forward. Nothing he said could have been deemed offensive or inflammatory (by normal people). But I find it curious that those that are so offended by what Pres. Obama had to say, find no problem with some of the hateful and antagonistic stuff that Hannuty, Rush and Beck throw out there.
Do they really believe in the America that the Founders envisioned (not lived in but envisioned)?”
“What are you talking about? If someone comes forth and says he did this.... Then I say lets move on it. Having politicians relaying allegations doesn't cut it for me. And guess who is leading the polls to replace Filner as Mayor...You guessed it Bonnie Demanus. ”
“Never admitted to sexual harrasment. Said he's guilty of mistreatment of his staff. I live in SD and I know this Mayor is difficult to deal with. But there needs to b more than just allegations if someone is supposed to resign.”

“I thought that the Social Democrat standard was the "seriousness" of the charge?
“I started writing a whole deal about how unfairly our justice system can be applied and how it is slanted yada, yada, yada. Then I just had to stop... I am not angry, even though I feel I should be. Honestly I just feel sad. Sad that things like this still happen. This kid is dead, and for doing nothing more that dressing like most of the kids (white & black) in my mid-class SoCal neighborhood. But something defines him as a "suspicious character". I guess!
I constantly hear the cry of the Red State Righties, that they want to take their country back. Well, seems like your America never left!”
“Rude awakening... For some maybe, but Spencer is headed back to Arkansas so he'll be OK. Jeremy is headed home to Katy Texas, it'll be like nothing ever happened. And Aaryn... If anyone reading this is familiar with San Marcos, Texas you understand why she's like that. San Marcos had might as well be in Mississippi. She probably won't even go home. She's blonde, hot, dislikes the gays and isn't a big fan of the blacks. Straight to Fox news, if nothing else she's a lock to make Hannity's "Great American Panel".”
“I'm not sure what the "Chicago Style Obama Political Machine" has on old Rand Paul, but I love that the champion of "Camp Crazy" has totally switched up. Tomorrow Rand will be marching in the Pride Parade wearing an ACORN T-Shirt offering Amnesty and Obama Care to all!
I specifically remember Rand stating roughly the same case(whether a citizen on american soil committing a crime be under any circumstances subject to drone surveillance\strikes) and receiving the answer "No".
Now he seems to be the only one in favor of just that! Wow!!!”
