“Yeah, but in Australia, the Guides have welcomed boys and girls, and the Scouts have welcomed boys and girls, since the early 1990s, or earlier (I remember we had a girl in our Scout troop). I see no reason why transgendered children would not be welcome in either.

You can do better U.S.A. ;)”

“So the Guides in the USA are not open to boy membership??? Even transgender children might not qualify???

Wow, the USA is sexist!!! Australia has had unisex Scouts and Guides since I was last a member back in the early 1990s!!!

Come on citizens of the USA - you can do better than that - end your sexism, please!”

No, we really can't we're struggling now to maintain this faltering level of civility with each other.
We do have unisex "guide" groups and have for a long time, but none of them even remotely as popular as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.”

Hugo Chavez Successor Nicolas Maduro Shows Venezuelan Leader's Influence, Even In Death

“This article is fairly balanced in general, I think, but it is dishonest in that it mentions Venezuela's "unfriendliness" towards the USA, without actually mentioning what the USA did before such "unfriendliness". E.g. U.S. government meetings with 2002 coup-makers before and after the coup, and the fact that the U.S. government approved the coup-installed dictatorship, while most other counries did not - and the people of Venezuela went out into the streets and showed their rejection of the U.S.-approved coup, reversing it in less than 48 hours.

By only showing Venezuela's response, without showing what Venezuela was responding to, the author implies that Venezuela had noreason for its behaviour, and thus was merely being irrationally belligerant, etc.. If the author told the whole truth, most readers would probably empathise with Venezuela's response to U.S. bullying.”
