“You sound like a very "no gray area" kind of guy. Do you really think rules with no exceptions are best, or just easier to understand.”

I suspect you would find that Health and Human Services made those decisions, and the President had little to do with it. Hardship exemptions are available to *anyone* who applies.”

“well steven read the post when someone calls something the law of the land, it means its a law for all people , just not for those the presidents picks and chooses it for,,,almost sounds like hes a king....uhmmmm”
“They absolutely should have to play by the SAME rules! I'm all for active voting and constant government reform - not elimination.
The government should be the referee in the game, never calling the plays. But when you get rid of the refs the game goes straight to hell. Cheaters always win if there is no one to call foul.
I prefer a bad government over a bad corporation any day. As long as I have a vote, and that vote isn't stolen.”

“Steven, Not bad!!! Last statement though, bad corporations finally go out of business, face a take over or those involved end up many times in jail. Bad gov't never repays anything; no one is ever to blame; seldom do they go to jail; & if they resign it's always with a nice retirement program "always" at taxpayer expense. Bad gov't never goes out of business!! Just so you know; the Repubs have requested for this administration to go back to the "original" ACA & they would be willing to sign on, but the Dems want no part of that since it would affect their cronies, unions, Congress, etc. That should outrage any one wanting fairness for everyone play by the same rules on the same field. MSM as usual is not reporting this comprise proposal.”
“Please pay attention. The policies are now required to provide standardized minimum coverage. And they cannot be rescinded, cancelled, or maxed out. The insured still has a great deal of freedom to choose their level of deductibles and co-pays, beyond that there are no surprises.
Competition really does work when they all have to offer the same protection.
This is way better than no insurance, and a lot better than conditional insurance that was offered before. And at a fraction of the cost.”

“Hey Steve!! NOW pls read thoroughly & answer my question directly!!!! What do you think about the "personal" exemption the POTUS "granted" to Congress & their staffs, after their incessant whining, about the cost of ACA. And it was the Dems who started this demand!! Even though the median income for staff members is around $70,000/year. Dems, unions, etc., are all demanding waviers & favors concerning this "so-called" Affordable Care Act. What do they know that you don't?? UNBELEIVABLE!!! Those that touted, supported & voted for this scr_w job; now want NO part of it???? The only ones demanding that everyone be on this program are the those terrible, hateful, dishonest, rich, hard-hearted Republicans. Hope to hear back!!! Seriously!! Honesty is honesty! Fair play is fair play! Truth is truth! Should not be limited simply because your party or mine are in office. Just a thought!”

“Steven - Good to hear from you!! Please pay attn!!! You simply can not offer more coverage for less cost when the gov't is involved & you know that!! Policies will have to change in dealing with what is covered & how much of it to meet the gov't demands for lower cost. Those lower cost will not last long. Doctors will "will not" deal with more patients, more hours, more paperwork, more intrusion in telling them how to deal w/patients & accept less money. Who would?? Why are liberals so expert on everything & yet have no experience in anything?? From the POTUS absolute lack of any experience running anything (except his campaign constantly) to Gore's climate comments & yet he is nothing more than a political hack & now a very rich one, using climate change to line his pockets!! Competition is great!! In a "free market" place; the govt is not - nor has ever been a free market place. That is the reason for the ridiculous & wasteful costs of everything they do, from tools to towers and you know this!! Gov't has no profit to worry about! No bottom line! No limit on credit or borrowing, that all companies & individuals have to deal with each month, qtrly & yearly. They simply print more money making what we have, even more worthless. What's the dollar worth today??”
