Further, the above numbers don't take into account the reality that we will keep burning fossil fuel for decades, and the actual numbers will be higher. Additionally, these numbers don't take into account the effect of positive feedbacks, self-reinforcing phenomena that will lead to runaway temperature increases, such as Arctic methane release. I know of no credible scientists who believe we can stabilize the temperature at a 3 C increase because of the positive feedback runaway effects. In reality, the game is over based on what we have already done, much less the additional harm we will do in the future.”

“Then if you were a true scientist, and logician, and believed the game is over, you would not be on this board drumming up more retirement pensions for the 501(c)3 tax dodges.
You can't blare 'game over', then shove your hand in our wallets demanding tithe-taxes.
Here is the horrific reality of climate change in very simple terms. Since pre-industrial times, we have placed enough CO2 in the atmosphere by fossil fuel combustion to have already increased the temperature by 0.8 degrees centigrade. Because of lag times, the CO2 already in the atmosphere will produce another 0.7 C increase in the next three decades or so. That's a total of 1.5 C increase. Additionally, when fossil fuel is burned, fossil sulphates (aerosols) go into the atmosphere, resulting in a cooling effect. If we were to stop using fossil fuels today, in about three decades the atmosphere would have eliminated the cooling effect of the fossil sulphates, and will have increased its temperature another 1.5 C. Thus, in about three decades, considering only what we have placed in the atmosphere so far, we will have increased the temperature by 3 C. The effects of a 3 C increase will change the world as we know it drastically.”

“The 'horrific reality of climate change' is the post-normal pseudo science 501 (c) 3 tax dodgers and golden rice bowlers are going to ghost dance America back to the Stone Age, driving around in their Prius' wagging their fingers like green ayaltollahs.
The world does NOT need a new hysterical religion of tithe-taxes, sans 'solutions'.
“"Homicidal maniacs reeking havoc across the nation."
Yes, they ran this country from 2000-2008.”

“Please do not put me is a position of having to defend that administration. Their inept handling of the government for eight years didn't help, but you can't hold them personally responsible for some peoples inability to control themselves.”
“In the last decade alone, their actions have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people world-wide, and untold destruction at home. They make the Aurora shooter look like an alter boy.”
“You missed the point of my comment. I do not support Romney or any of his ilk. But, your use of the term 99% implies this vast army of the downtrodden, waiting to be rescued by the Democrats. The 99% is a fiction, used by those who have devoted their life to spinning politics. Start with the actual political breakdowns, and take your argument from there.”

“The 99% represents all those not in the gajillion-dollar-a-year salary bracket, which includes the middle class, the poor, etc. There's nothing implied, necessarily, about being vast armies of downtrodden. And you miss MY point: that Romney, Ryan and the gang show little if any interest in anybody in that group, not to mention women, seniors, teachers, students, the sick, etc. We're ALL Americans. Not just the ones who've earned membership in Mitt's exclusive club.”
Enough of the propaganda already. We hear this nonsense about all the minorities going heavily for Obama, the women going for Obama, and the 99%. If any of this were true he'd be leading by thirty points instead of essentially being tied. Address the 50-50 world of reality, instead of spouting nonsense. Figure out where Romney is getting his support, and why those you don't expect to be voting Republican are voting Republican. Then, maybe you could generate a sensible post.”

“What exactly is propaganda here? I'm asking simple questions. Do you feel confident in Mitt Romney? Is he THE leader you want in charge? I'm asking questions, not spouting nonsense. That, to me, is HIS territory. Tell me what in God's name do you see in Mitt Romney that incites hope and strength?”
