“It surely does go hand in hand. Iowa considers dogs as agriculture and some in Amish community treat puppies in a mill environment. Fine, peace-loving people such as they are. One of the local egg producers got busted for the horrible conditions in which the hems were growing. Their bodies were so heavy that their stubby legs would not hold them upward to walk. Read the ASPCA FB page and see the comments. I am a diabetic, T2 and have some issues. A person can find low fat cheeses and I pay through the heart for organic eggs. I do not eat so much because I have to choose being on a fixed income.”
“How could anyone hate Paula? However, I had no idea that Paula was as bad as Michael VIck. He blamed his "homies"! She thought animals were here for man's survival. HMMMMMMMM. It's Biblical, but how literal? It is often too much about the money with no prior thought.
The countries that eat dogs; the puppymills in this country, slaughter houses that abuse livestock; Kraft, Inc, for one, are all abusive with greed at the center.
As a Sheltie rescue mom for over 20 years, I hope you will not support anyone or anything or any company that deals with animals and are abusive.”

“Unfortunately, it all goes hand in hand. I mean, even an organic farm has to slaughter its animals in some way. I admit I don't know how its done, I would hope in the most humane way possible, as opposed to factory farms that dispose of animals in the most horrific ways and give them the most horrible lives. That being said, I would give anything to be able to be vegan/vegetarian, but being a diabetic, we cannot live that way. Our diet consists mostly of meat, cheese, eggs and other high-fat, low carb products.”
“No, I am retired! BUT, my Mother came here from the old country on the boat! She came here legally, not by illegal parents sneaking over the border. Many want to come to this country. Our taxpayers cannot afford to care for those illegals. I do approve amnesty to 8 million or however many. I do not approve of slave labor in third world countries who continue to have babies and starve to death; nor, I do approve of special work permits for those who take away jobs in America. Healthcare and education should and must be tied to citizenship and people should have to prove it.”
“Unfortunately, yes, I do. When someone denies such an important work because of the belief or actions of another, what can I think? Why does she blame the whole when only some of the parts create the trouble? She and Dr. Maya are very important.”

“You're right when you say that Walker and Angelou are imortant figures in American and global politics and influence. And I see your point, though I'm still not sure I agree. Thanks.”
“Bring all of the undocumented workers to further destroy our economy. Thank you, Mr. President.”

“Its time to move on from these little squirmishes and focus on big things or were gonna destroy ourselves.”
RussFromCA on Jun 20, 2012 at 12:12:58
“The undocumented workers work and work very hard, sometimes holding several jobs. They dont take jobs away form citizens. They take jobs citizens wont do, like farm labor.”

“Please bring all your talking points here to further destroy any meaningful dialogue on the thread. Thank you, Mr. Ailes.”

“It makes total sense that you would address such a ridiculous message to the POTUS who has deported the most illegal immigrants on average per year than ANY other POTUS. Another member of the Tea Party 1st percentile club, aren't you?”

“They support our economy more than a lot of lazy couch potatoes that collect welfare and spend their days watching videos and munching chips and downing gallon sized sodas, only to end up in our publicly financed emergency rooms.”

“Alabama and Georgia farms are losing millions of $$$ of crops because migrant workers were chased out.
I think we're doing a great job without the assistance of undocumented workers.”

“Yep, border crossings are down and still the right picks immigration as their wedge issue for the election season. Where were you when border crossings peaked in 2006? Why weren't Republican governors passing their own immigration laws back when so many more were crossing? Why wasn't it a problem then? Now that there are as many leaving as coming, it's a huge problem, really?”
Shaun Hensley on Jun 20, 2012 at 12:00:00
“The problem isn't the undocumented worker. The problem is the lack of worker solidarity. ALL WORKERS need to FIGHT for better working conditions and pay and protections for ALL WORKERS.
Then ALL WORKERS would compete for work on a level playing field. THAT'S why there is such a thing as 'cheap labor', because of people such as yourself.”

“Tell that to the farmers who had to leave their crops rotting in the fields when immigrants were forced to leave.”

“Reagan . . amnesty to 8 MILLION . . Obama: work permits for about 800,000 high school and college graduates
. . . are YOU competing with high schooler with a work permit??? . . best "up" your skill level. education and goals . . .”
“I am amazed that such words of terrorists are limited to the United States and Israel. Perhaps Ms. Walker should go to Palestine and live the life for awhile. I have lost respect for such an important author.
I can only pray for her and that her faith leads her to forgiveness and love rather than terror and hate. People in this country have been fighting bigots who want to ban books in libraries and schools. I am one of them. This is very sad and indicative of our very troubled times.”
tessa25 on Jun 20, 2012 at 05:03:12
“I really don't think she's acting out of terror and hate. Does she really come across to you like this?”

“People in this country have been fighting bigots who want to ban books in libraries and schools
Yeah, and have been on the side of Jim Crow and the Apartheid regime, never forget!”
“Why should this nightmare be any kind of surprise? The only surprise is the location and who. There are ignorant and stupid parents who let video games, violent television, gangs, and other cultural/social diseases infest and numb our society. The parents fail.
Today, I heard a comment about particular Georgia so-called parents bring their 14-years old daughter to a bus stop to attack another girl. Animal abuse is accepted by law enforcement because they do so little, complaining about being understaffed.
Until society assumes the care of the children and animals who are the defenseless in this world, we will fail and fall deeper in the fourth stage of our decline. Look at Michael Vick--fine football player who helped electrocute sweet pit bulls because they could no longer fight. He's been forgiven; give him a few million to play footbal. God is greater than me. I only rescue the neglected and abused Shelties from puppy mills and left to rot in a cage. I do not forgive very well.
Corporate, governmental, and financial greed have moved this country into financial ruin as it is. But, we must save money and close up quality mental health centers who can care for the likes of this excuse of a human being. We fail our brave veterans. And, shame on the mainstream press. What ever happened to investigative reporting?
“Mr. Stone is an entertaining and informative chef, but I wish he would no longer associate with the Hy-Vee grocery store chain in the Quad-Cities, throughout Iowa and other states. He costs too much money; his products are expensive and I do not want to pay the overhead which causes our grocery bill to rise way too much on top of the increases of regular overhead.
He can get paid on television or online or write books; just do not cost me any money. His services are not worth it; I have not learned anything worth my while. Thank you.”
