“Thank you for that link Texas4Obama! I will pass it along often.
Christie vetoed implementing the ACA for my state of New Jersey, the Republican rat that he is, so we have to use the federal gov. one here.
I went to that site, typed in my zip code and immediately got numerous addresses to get help in person!!
225 places to be exact!
This is great, since my daughter who recently turned 26 had to be dropped from our plan, and is now paying $500 a month with no dental or vision, and we have a lot of questions about her getting new and better coverage through the marketplace.
Thank you again! Keep helping people get informed!”

“Good post! 168 resources under my zip code to get the ACA information. Awesome!”

“I love the Giuseppe Arcimboldo original paintings.
I came across a couple of books with his art work about 10 years ago and bought them up on the spot..
Most folks have never heard of him.
Not sure I like the idea of someone stealing his ideas.”

“great art is seen oftentimes as a study in geometric balance and through various periods has been reproduced with a newer maybe more modern take on the g.b.
as you know, originality is often complimented in the highest way through imitation.
however, i do not think in this case that there was much art reproduced and Giuseppe Arcimboldo should be offended. the renderings seen here to me at least were hideous. absolutely none of them conveyed the original spirit or character of the piece. all i can say and mostly to myself is "yuck"”
“The ACA is for working folks that want to 'purchase' insurance.
If a person is unemployed and has no income then those folks do not have to 'purchase' insurance because they can sign up for Medicaid.
Btw, the way you don't "get" Obamacare - Obamacare (ACA) is not like Medicareor Medicaid -- Obamacare is what basically sets up the insurance 'exchanges' where folks buy insurance from insurance companies. (Some states have set up their own exchanges.)”

“Congress approved spending the money, the bills are now due.
If the republicans in Congress refuse to pay the bills then THEY are the ones to blame - NOT the president.
The republicans seem as if they are totally unaware of how things work - or they are purposefully fibbing to the American public. Take your pick.
Also, the republicans shut down the government and now they are crying about that too.”
“"... grabbed his arm ..."
Does not sound like an assault to me.
Maybe more of the GOPers should attended a 'Violence Against Women Act' congressional committee hearing and they they'd know what 'assault' really is.
And THEN MAYBE they would stop their obstruction and pass the VAWA.”

When Cruz was telling the story about his father's job at a restaurant washing dishes he said that during the eight hours his dad was there each day his dad would stuff his face with food because when he left the OFFICE and went home he wasn't able to eat again until the next day when he returned to wash more dishes.
Hey Cruz - washing dishes in a restaurant is NOT an 'office' job!”

“I don't believe the old man's story, and here's why: in the 1970s, I worked my way through college waiting tables and bartending at several restaurants. The waitstaff ate practically every scrap of food that made it into the bus tubs, so that by the time they were carried back to the dishwasher, there was barely anything left in them to eat. I know this, because I started out as a dishwasher. Gimme a break!”
What are execs going to do next - start showing 4 episodes a year over the three years and call it 'one season'.
Shows need to be shown quicker and in 'big' chunks.
Loved it that 'Orange is the New Black' and 'House of Cards' was released all at once. Folks like to 'binge' watch and do not like to watch one episode or half a season with long breaks in between.
My aunt was a HUGE fan of 'Breaking Bad' - it was her all-time favorite show. She died in July and never got to see the end, it is very hard for me to watch Breaking Bad now knowing that I'm watching her show without her.”
“The House does not get a vote on the matter.
All Federal Judges, including the Supreme Court nominees, are voted on only by the U.S. Senate.
Don't forget that Obama nominated Sotomayor and Kagan - neither are to the far right of thomas, scalia, or alito.”
The Real Randall Flagg on Sep 17, 2013 at 17:41:04
“OK... I'll defer on that issue. I must admit that I'm far from an expert on the the issue of supreme court appointment process.
But with the current continuing state of the senate insisting on blocking even federal judge appointments through procedural roadblocks & games, a supreme court nomination would probably result in just another major republican temper tantrum.
I suspect that she's waiting to see what the senate looks like after the next 1 or 2 election cycles... perhaps with the idea that some of the more extreme republicans may be gone by then making a new appointment a bit easier.”
“Ginsburg is currently 80 years old - in 20 years she will be 100.
I wish her well and a long life,
but I think she should retire while a democratic president is in the White House so that a liberal can be nominated for her seat - that way we will not lose it to the republicans.”
GabbysDad on Sep 17, 2013 at 11:27:21
“I understand her age and the desire for a Democrat to name her successor, but she's made it plain that she's not going anywhere anytime soon. That's her right, and I'm very glad she's on the Court.”
The Real Randall Flagg on Sep 17, 2013 at 02:31:18
“She will wait until the Democrats have regained control of the house, in addition to the senate & the presidency.
If she retired today, the baqqers in the house would insist that a nominee be to the far to the right of thomas, scalia & alito. (no caps on purpose... they don't deserve the honor of proper capitalization).
Assuming a republican controlled house could even be bothered dealing with a supreme court nomination approval..... what with needing to abolish Obamacare for the 42, 43, 44 & 45th times.”

Now all of a sudden since a Democrat is in the White House the Republicans are saying that the three current vacant seats should be eliminated.
The Republicans are disgusting.”

“Libya, in my opinion, would have been harder because a no-fly-zone had to be imposed.
No one is calling for a no-fly-zone in Syria.
Syria would probably be easier than Libya and cost less.
But if Syria accepts the proposal that Russia has but forward - then we won't have to debate the which was easier issue.”

“Striking Syria's military installations in order to prevent Assad from gassing more people is NOT dumb.
A Syria 'intervention' would not be a 'war' - just like our 'intervention' in Libya was NOT a 'war'.
Obama knows which fights to fight and which ones not to.”

“Do you have the right to go into your neighbors house and destroy a few things because he is beating his wife? We do not have the right to go and bomb more of Syria to teach anyone a lesson. There is a world body for that.”

“We may not call it war, but attacking that country is still an act of war. The Syrians will not see any distinction.”
