“I have a job which enables me to listen to my iPod all day, and I've had Michael Jackson/Jackson Five playing all morning. I was saying to some coworkers earlier, if you weren't around circa 1983-1986 or weren't old enough to understand at that time, there's nothing I or anyone else can tell you to make you understand the sheer magnitude of Michael Jackson during that specific era. EVERYONE loved him: black, white, Asian, Hispanic, young, old, and everyone in between. It was literally phenomenal. I've thought even before his passing that I almost feel bad for younger people who weren't around to see THAT Michael Jackson, who have only seen the scandals and the eccentricity and the tabloid fodder, and I feel privileged to have been a witness.
Thanks for the memories, Michael, because there are a whole bunch of 'em.”

“Unwilling to let it go? I don't usually like to accuse people of not getting it... but you don't get it.”

“I think you are the one that doesn't "get it". You are suggesting that the only reason whites and latinos speak in ebonix is to "act black" and that it has to go back to the "black stereotype". Get off your cross and maybe you'll see beyond your myopic view of the world.
The problem is lack of education, drugs, and jobs and it crosses a variety of different regions and cultures. Black, White, Latino, PR, Gay”

“Not playing the race card is "not getting it"?
WIth all the sexism in hip-hop you should be protesting that, but maybe you just dont' get it., that blacks are not better than women.
If stereotyping is wrong then all of it is. DO you get that?”
“This whole thing is getting more and more suspect, literally almost every hour. I think it's obvious at this point that he was somewhere with a girlfriend... or maybe a boyfriend.”

“Most guys only have to account for a few hours after work ---this fellow is giving all of us a bad rep. I can just see it now: Honey, I've been in Argentina unwinding for 5 days, see ya when I see ya. Btw, tell the kids sorry about me blowing off Father's Day---couldn't be helped.
Oh yeah, the reunion would simply be a full blast!!
While Sanford appears to be an inconsiderate skunk, he is being aided by a very strange woman; who sits idly by for 5 days with 4 kids in the home, not knowing where her husband is, this story is strange on several levels. Money and influence will prevent DFAC from storming the gates and possibly rescuing these children, but maybe they should investigate the home, it is as odd as any I've every heard of.”
