“Ted,I think your mind is in jeopardy....otherwise bright people can have their judgement warped by Conservative propaganda and suddenly start talking very strange, deluded, not reality based ideas. poss. see a therapist.”
“Do you know the above personally-been there? or is this rosy scenario talking? I had read people were paying $1,000-$2,00 for a romm, but did have ajob..”

“I live in CO...I have many friends making a ton of money. They should not be paying for rooms unless they want private rooms. Again, this is not for everybody. But a few of my friends have learned skills that are in very high demand. They no longer work in Wyoming. they do the work in Colorado.”
“What a silly headline. We are in our 5th (or 6th) Industrial Revolution- Computerization of all parts of society...We will need less workers...there will permanently unemployed workers,,esp.those over age 50........maybe 10% of the population will be unemployed or barely unemployed(15 hour weeks)...”

“I agree A lot of changes are going to need to be made in our country. beginning with education. The way kids are learning right now is out dated. In order to survive in the future changes are going to need to be made.”
“How about Muslim governements like Turkey,Saudi Arabia and egypt going adn and help the syrian people overthrow a bloody dictator? The Koran says they should aid their fellow Muslims. Why do the predominatelychristian nations always have to go in and clean up Muslim messes?
no mulsim governement,as far as i know has offered direct help to overthow a bloody Muslim distator of another muslim country. Sad.”

“It's because we (the west) instigated the messes.”
“It is a fake unemployment rate anyway. Economists lie for their masters”
scvblwxq on May 1, 2013 at 08:40:39
“It is what it says it is, the unemployment rate of workers ACTIVELY searching for work within the past 4 weeks(U3). The measure is helpful because it has been kept since 1890 allowing comparisons over time.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics also calculates six alternate measures of unemployment, U1 through U6, that measure different aspects of unemployment:
U1: Percentage of labor force unemployed 15 weeks or longer.
U2: Percentage of labor force who lost jobs or completed temporary work.
U3: Official unemployment rate per the ILO definition occurs when people are without jobs and they have actively looked for work within the past four weeks.
U4: U3 + "discouraged workers", or those who have stopped looking for work because current economic conditions make them believe that no work is available for them.
U5: U4 + other "marginally attached workers", or "loosely attached workers", or those who "would like" and are able to work, but have not looked for work recently.
U6: U5 + Part-time workers who want to work full-time, but cannot due to economic reasons (underemployment).
“The Right Wing Conservatives have basically captured the Supreme Court. They, not the voters or electors, elect a president. They give corporations(an invention of human beings) all the civil rights of a human being. Pres. Bush,as commander approves torture, and indefinite detention without trial ,of prisoners-no havbeus corpus, and they say it is OK. George Washington would be rolling in his grave. He refused to torture or kill prisoners-treated them humanely.”
“How many people out there feel $15 TRILLION dollars of National Debt is not a problem? And that we can grow the economy fast enough and big enough to repay the money? A few more major financial crashes of our unregulated banks and stock market, with many years of slowing growth after each crash, will show us this debt will never get repaid”
Bizmark on Apr 26, 2013 at 14:45:49
“The debt has two categories: Gov. Holdings, $4.9 t; Public Holdings,11.6 t.
Gov. Holdings, debt owed to other Fed agencies like the Fed Reserve, State and Local Government's pension funds, mutual, funds, etc...banks, insurance co, and savings bonds.
Add the brokers, personal trusts, estates, corporations, small businesses, investors of all stripes and sorts.... the Foreign Gov.s own about 5t in various forms.
So the bottom line is we owe most of the debt to ourselves. You want it paid off, regardless of the facts so assume we agree and wish to be debt-free, we could do this:
there's 152b of us 'working', or at least able to work if we all had jobs. Take a 152 borrowers who, combined, owe 17,000$ (12,000 to themselves, but anyway) it's not that simple. In truth some borrowed a lot more than others, NeoCons for example. They must assume a larger share of the debt b/c their policies brought on more bond sales than anything VintageLibs have ever done, and they designed their policies to benefit themselves...Ipso Facto....
Now before you jump all over my numbers, the Numbers are not the Point.”

“JOBLESSNESS is an IMMEDIATE PROBLEM for millions of your countrymen. It's obvious you could care less about them, provided we keep our gubmint hands off your Medicare and SSI. If some fairness is restored to the working class, the deficit will be paid down as it was in the 1940s and 50's. Sadly about that time the GOP will get elected and spend us into oblivion again. America needs real conservatives, not Neo-CONS.”

“you don't repay it, you out grow it, ...that's the whole point,
stop electing the GOP theocracy and we'll do fine....”
