Top 10 Reasons to Kill the Senate Health Care Bill

“It is hard to know what is right or wrong about this Bill, but if the "R's" are against it, there must be something good about it. They have opposed any change even before anything was put on paper and they never came up with a solution to our sick care plan. Perhaps we should all wait and see what Congress does before we come down too hard on Obama or the Dems. We know that all of our social systems are disfunctional, including Congress, so why be so upset. Let's get behind our President. God knows how terrible it would have been with 4 more years of the NeoCons. Change is very hard to make in an economy that hit the rock bottom, with 2 wars still going and the Party of No is not interested in improving anything as it will only give more Dems. a chance to win in the next election.”

“Thank you Mr. Gates for your understanding and for your willingness to contribute your profits to helping our deficit and our budget. It is very unfortunate and insensitive for the very wealthy to only think of themselves and to be so greedy that they will fight paying this Estate Tax and a fair share of taxes. Hiding the wealth in the Swiss banks, Caman Islands and other places while hiring tax accountants to protect the very wealthy from paying their share is a sham and their profits and hidden revenue should be disclosed.
Like someone pointed out a few weeks ago here in Huffington Post, the Middle Class is no longer a viable population because of these criminal behaviors.”

Army Record Suicide Rate Continues, and Will Continue for Some Time

“I work with wounded Warriors every day and only wish we had more programs like our Ft. Bliss Restoration and Resilience Center. It is worth doing a search to see how comprehensive we are and all of our soldiers get better after 6 months of intensive & comprehensive treatment and after care following graduation. I think that if we had more of these services on every Post, the suicide rate would decrease because we offer hope as well as love, understanding, compassion and excellent services.
Jon, I'm sure that you have heard Daryl Worley's song, "I just came back from a War." I just came back from a place where they hated me." I'm no longer the same boy....I just came back from the war." "They don't care anymore." "You don't love Me."
This is a true sentiment of how many of our soldiers feel when we first meet them and following a visit to their home for a short leave.
This song touches me and our warriors who work everyday to overcome their injuries of War---the, multiple tours, trauma, stress, anger, depression, sleepless nights, nightmares, hyper-vigilence, headaches and numerous other physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social relationship problems.

“Robert, thank you for your great contributions to the welfare of our soldiers, caregivers and others who are involved with our brave Wounded Warriors. Your reports and publicatioins are so basic and real and they clearly show your knowledge and wisdom for having been injured and also changed by war. I appreciate all that you do to help advance the medical, health, community and country's resources to help and support our soldiers, families and caregivers.
I see many wounded warriors every day and am very impressed with their strength and eagerness to return fit-for-duty and return to the force following the treatment of their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual injuries. I believe that I have been preparing my full life to develop myself to be a professional social worker to treat-empo wer-inform and interact with these fantastic human beings individually, in groups, and in therapeutic outings within our Restoration and Resilience Center. “We have a successful US Army, PTSD treatment center that provides a vast range of methods and approaches to improve the quality of lives, health and realationships for our Warriors. Our program includes 6 months of treatment, 35 hrs. a week, and aftercare for 30 warriors at a time. We are an experimental and experiential integrative health center that also includes the conventional treatments. I believe that all of our wounded warriors get bettter and 60% return to the Force, fit for duty.
We are relatively new as we've only been in operation for just over 2 years, but our soldiers wil tell you that the Ft. Bliss Restoration & Resilience Center helps them cut through these devastating symptoms and reduce the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual injuries and anguish. Would be great if we had these services available for everyone who returns from the stress and trauma of war. Our warriors deserve the best we can offer as a country, and our R & R Center is the best program right now. We also work with the whole family and feel great love and respect for everyone who enters our program. And, we are grateful for all of the ancillary services of support offered in our Ft. Bliss and Wm. Beaumont Army Medical Center.

Why Billionaires Should Pay for the Jobless Recovery
Commented Nov 01, 2009 at 13:12:51 in Business
“Yes, these billionaires destroyed our economy by being greedy and cold hearted about their employees and others who did the 'real' work to allow them to acheive their great wealth. Every time they eat a meal, take a drink of water or glass of wine, they should give thanks to those who plowed the land, planted the seeds, harvested the crops, shipped them to market. The working man/woman and the middle class of our country have made it possible for these selfish, greedy CEO & Board Members to thrive while others suffer and go without basic human need requirements, not just here in America, but throughout our global community--we are one, not special. If these creeps would just recognize that what affects one, affects all whether we are aware of this fact or not--we know they don't care, they believe they are SPECIAL.”

Would be good if our leaders would be more open about what they plan to do with these bought and paid for Big Insurance sell outs. But, we should get a report following the vote. So, let's continue to let our Democrats know that we are counting on them to do the right thing so that we can support them in their next election. If not, we won't forget them.”
Why Joe Biden Should Resign

“I usually agree with your posts, Ariana; however, I don't think our VP should resign to get his point across as it only hurts our president. Obama has gotten enough flack from the R's and doesn't need another NO for support. I, like many here, do not believe that this is a winable war. We are only getting in deeper and it will be more difficult to withdraw. Our mission is not clear and the public and the soldiers know it. Of course our soldiers will follow their Commander-in-Chief, so their opinions are generally not taken into consideration.
Anyway, you have a right to your opinion like the rest of us, but I think you should re-evaluate this one.”

“Thank you for addressing this issue with these predatory corporate execs. For far too long our Congress has given them everything they want because they write the bills, use tax relief to lobby and advertise their products or service (?) and many of these corporate leaders serve in government appointments to insure that they get everything they want for doing nothing--but consulting. Are we just waisting our time expressing our bad feelings or is there someone in power and authority who will take the "Right Action." Google the Washington Post on what recently happened with the President of Montgomery County Community College in D.C. as a recent example of this. these people are nuts and must be stopped everywhere they are found. The root of our problems are mental health issues. And I believe this is 100% true in the behavior of Wall Street and their automaton soul less vampire lobbyists to the Senate and Congress. The Wrong Diagnosis
Commented Aug 11, 2009 at 15:31:25 in Living
“During my 30 years in academia teaching professionals in holistic health care (not sick care), the students who designed and administered a self-care plan, maintained their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, throughout the year, so much better than those who had no plan. In fact, those who did their Work on a daily basis were so much more positive, experimental, interactive and skillful. These students were enjoyable to be with during and after classes.
I believe that those who are committed to change and to being the best they can be holistically, will be more effective health care professionals because they will practice what they 'teach'. Those who work in the sick care industry are so overly worked and stressed that they just don't take the time or use their time effectively to become models of health and wellness.
On another note: A diagnosis is very important in sick care as described in your article. However, these mental health labels tend to hurt the patient rather than to help them. Labels like ADD or PTSD have a tendency to stick with the psyche and make healing much more difficult, if not impossible, than breaking down the diagnosis into their various symptoms and design a health plan to transcend them--stress, anxiety, depression .
I don't think we should slow down the change in health care reform, rather we can always amend the plan once we reduce our dependency on the Corporate models that drain our economy.”

Several of us teamed up to study and get first hand experience from these chemicals so that we could counsel others who had negative experiences and to advance our curiosity.
I can summarize this experience as allowing me to experience the unity or oneness of all that is. Noted authors, like Frietjof Capra, Oscar Ichazo, Claudio Naranjo, Ram Das, John Lilly, and Tarthang Tulku are some of my favorite sources of learning about mindfulness, total interaction and relationships, during this historical period.
