Much Ado About Meatless Monday: Why the USDA Retraction Matters

Commented Aug 1, 2012 at 18:55:30 in Green

“I was outraged but this, yet not surprised at all (especially after heavily researching Monsanto this week and reading about all the USDA corruption). This just goes to show how manipulated people are in this country - big industries have so much influence over our health and the environment. Look at what happened to Oprah, though I think she at least still supports Meatless Monday at her offices. It's just crazy to me that some Americans can't go just one day a week without meat, even when they know it's better for their bodies and the planet.”

“And not just meat - try getting anyone but a vegan to go even one meal, much less an entire day, without dairy products! They act like you're killing their children.”

“LOVE this! I'm a big 2nd hand shopper, especially for clothes and home goods, but I'm sure there's a lot more that I buy new that I don't need to. Always looking for waste to reduce my consumption so I'm looking forward to following your blog! Huge fan of My Plastic-Free Life, No Impact Man and any minimalist bloggers. Reading Brandwashed right now and that is so insightful.”
