Hillary Clinton 2016 Speculation: The Week It Moved From Trickle To Stream

Hillary Clinton 2016 Speculation: The Week It Moved From Trickle To Stream

“It's a bit of a Good Cop/Bad Cop dance: Obama compromises every step of the way, offering up Social Security cuts in an honest attempt to once again "meet Republicans halfway." Republicans laugh in his face. Here comes Hillary, January 20, 2017, telling Republicans "Talk to the hand," as she steps on their heads every day thereafter.”

“I lived in Silverlake for decades, a neighborhood where the Starwagons could camp for days and film "ethnic" without having to leave their backyard. When you get tired of getting shushed for wanting to back your car out of your own driveway, some director's assistant marches over and tries to smile and shake your hand, when all you wanna do is pick up your kids from school. Gets a little tiring.”

“One reason why I could never be a journalist is because of the obligation to say anything that's "true," and to say it any old time I want, regardless of the effects of what I say on the larger world around me. As a journalist, I could hide behind my pen and say, "Ah, but everything I said was 'true,' and not feel a pang of conscience when we wake up Nov 6th, find Mitt Romney President, wake up March of next year and find women fleeing to Canada to have abortions, and find neo-cons planning their victory march around around Tehran. But isn't everything I wrote about Obama "true?" Yes, dear, but very, VERY stupidly timed. Ryan and Sam, do you really want that outcome? Did you not read when a homeless, post-Isaac Lousiana women asked Romney for help, and he pointed his finger down at her and told her to go home? I hope you boys are happy with yourselves. Not sure how you can sleep after posting that article.”

“I think the voters who voted for Obama in Florida and Pennsylvania have wisened up. Obama has done NOTHING he said he would do. NOTHING. Even his healthcare bill has problems! He should be a one term president because he's done NOTHING. Just like when he was an Illinois Senator. The writing has been on the wall since then and is even more obvious now. It's not that he's a democrat or an extreme liberal. He's done NOTHING!!!! He had 2 years with the house and senate and all he did was ram healthcare through the congress. He waits until the last minute to bring immigrant issues to the front and now is pandering to scared groups. (paraphrased) "The big Bad Republicans are going to take your medicare, social security and even your right to vote!!!" GEESH. The man has DONE NOTHING in 3 3/4 years. VOTE HIM OUT!!!”

“(continued) And today, those who fly the Confederate flag are not expressing their right to listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd and shoot geese out of the sky without a permit. Flying that flag places you in league with men who stand on the docks of Port au Prince and offer children for sale, places you in league with Romanian human traffickers who sell carloads of girls into sexual slavery. The Confederate flag is not a fashion statement. Wearing it, posting it, and waving it expresses support for human slavery, and nothing else.”

Las Cruces Tea Party Sets Off Controversy With Confederate Flag Display

Commented Jul 9, 2012 at 21:47:15 in Politics

“Southerners did not fly the Confederate flag because their cultural values were in danger of getting lost. The Confederacy was formed because Southerners decided to fight and die rather than be told they can't own human beings. The Confederate flag is a flag of war, a flag that says, if you come here to try to free our black men and women, we will kill you. Indeed, the flag we know today as "The Confederate Flag" is not the national Flag of the Confederacy, or "The Stars and Bars," as it's called. Rather, the Confederate flag of today, the flag that adorns bumper stickers, gun stores and frat houses, is the Battle Flag, the flag flown by the Southern armies in the Civil War as they marched to off to face The North. That flag was flown, not to celebrate pleasant Georgia evenings and sipping mint juleps on a shady porch in the setting sun, but to symbolize the South's intention - by violent force - to maintain the institution of slavery. There is nothing "down home" and "folksy" about it. It has no lessons to teach us about "states' rights" or individual freedoms, or the right for The South to conduct trade under its own terms. That flag was flown specifically because the South did not agree with the civilized world that owning people was wrong.”

“Without CNN, there would pretty much only be Fox and MSNBC. MSNBC is no match for Fox's propaganda apparatus and viewership . The calamity of Fox being the only show in town can only be measured in historic terms. None of the fascist movements of the previous century would have been possible without a potent propaganda machine already in place. And all those nations that experienced fascist takeovers had lots of "smart" citizens like us, people who thought "It can't happen here. We are too cosmopolitan, too cynical and too much of a hodgepodge nation for such things to happen here." If we are amazed that 30 percent of Americans believe that Obama is a Socialist Muslim Antichrist Kenyan, how high would those numbers be if there was no counterbalance to the Fox noise machine? CNN is bland and silly, but no one reading this article would want to live in an America where Fox is not counterbalanced in some way. Please note also that most of the fascist movements of the previous century were preceded by a major military misadventure, something like what the Romney people are already planning in Iran. Remember Bush's incessant drumbeat for war against Iraq back in 2002? That was nothing compare with what's in store for us if we have to endure both a Romney win and a collapse of CNN.”

“So I went and saw the silly movie postulating that the most resiliant and murderous forces of the South were actually vampires. Then I saw the headlines that the US Congress, ruled by The South, set a date to rise up and "kill" Obamacare (their term). I imagine immortal, bloodthirsty beings wouldn't care for potential victims with pre-existing health conditions getting insurance, or be guaranteed health insurance in some form or another. I mean, how else can they corral all that cannon fodder towards the Middle East when they invade Iran in 2013? Rather goes against the interest of bloodsuckers, I would say I'm thinking the movie is not so silly after all.”
